Sunset Ribs Co

This place blows!! The service is s o b a d. The food is okay, my pal ordered the ribs and he really enjoyed them. And the salad was good. But everything else rotted. Cute waitress (young, blond ponytail) was OKAY -- she never told us her name, and although she started strong, the service got worse and worse. Weird manager lurking around. Stacks of chairs on the deck really cut down on the view from the upstairs dining room -- a rookie mistake. But I am pretty sure they missed up the bill and charged us less, so ha ha on them. more

My husband and I have given Sunset Ribs many chances but last night was the final straw. It's unfortunate because the atmosphere is fun, the food is OK most of the time but the service is NEVER good and many times has been down right horrible. Last night, we arrive post prime dinner hours and was for seating upstairs where we can view the water but also see the bar area below. We are told by the host that they are saving that seating for bigger crowds (there were 3 of us, hungry and drinkers). So we get seated in the second row and are denied the courtesy of better seating only to sit there and watch table after table in the front row open up and remain vacant. Then the typical bad service starts. We get part of our order and when asking for something crucial to enjoying the main course - we wait 5 minutes while the server takes another order, delivers more food, and then gives us dirty looks and throws our bill at us because my husband had to get the condiments himself. In addition, part of the order was never put in. The bottom line - if you go - go with low expectations. Afterall - this is the same owner that has Harbor Park (which is just like Sunset Ribs when it comes to pros/cons)....the atmosphere is fun and views great but the food is just OK, the service horrible - and both places are not very clean.
