I love this place. My husband and I went here on our first date almost 16 years ago. It is an old, yet classic drive in. Small, just one screen, but intimate. I much prefer a small drive in like this to the big 6 or 8 screen drive-ins. Sunset drive in will always hold a special place in my heart and I hope it is there for many years to come. more

Cute Drive-In Theatre 8/4/2005

This is a cute little drive-in movie theatre that plays two movies on any given night. On Sundays it turns into a swap-meet. This drive-in movie theatre has a little more character than the Hi-Way drive-in in Santa Maria. It has a more relaxed atmosphere where you feel like you can get out of your car and "mingle" with other movie-goers. There's just something nostalgic about going to a drive-in movie and they really try to play that up at this theatre. The concession commercials are the type you would have seen years ago, and the concession area is even styled like it would have been many years ago. more
