Sunset Drive-in Movie Theater is one of only 400 or so drive-in theaters in America. It is really neat to say that such a small town as Shelby has one. I enjoy going there, and it is very inexpensive. You can use the outside speakers or the radio or both for as your speakers for the movie. I have found the speakers outside lack a lot to be desired, so we only use the radio. It is much better since most cars have many speakers in there anyway. The movie theater is always busy, and I love going there. more

Sunset Drive In 10/8/2005

Sunset Drive In. What more can I say? There are not many left at all in the USA and I think they said they didn't know of any others in the world. I just looked and Yahoo says there are 432 left. WOW! I have been going here since I was a child. I love it. You don't have to get out of your car to see the movie. For some, that is not what they like. But for others, like maybe if you are on a date, or just want to celebrate the good old times, drive-in theaters are what they like. The speakers at Sunset Drive-in are wonderful. We don't have any trouble hearing, and we really like going to this theatre. The price is good, and they do keep current with movies. more

Sunset Drive-In 9/28/2005

Sunset Drive In movie theater is one of the remaining few in America. This lost art of watching movies has declined every year, with more and more drive in movie theaters going out of busines. But this one has been in business for like decades shows no signs of failing. They are always busy and offer up-to-date movies. Their prices are good. I am always amazed at the speaker quality, too. It is very easy to hear, and they are always willing to help accommodate whatever you need. I have been satisfied going here because it brings back a lot of "old" memories and is just a really cool and neat place to go to. more
