Everyone was so friendly and happy to see you there! I had lots of trouble with cheap no-line bifocals from discount stores. But Dr. Wharton took plenty of time getting the prescription right, and the optician made me the best pair of glasses I've ever had. I can see and read alot better. Definitely worth the investment. more

I'd been to chain places for eye exams and contacts before, and I knew that impersonal thing wasn't for me. When I decided to go to a real doctor's office, I called around. These guys were so friendly and the prices were in line with other doctors' offices. Dr. Wharton and Dr. Potter treated my kids so kindly. They were patient and careful getting my contacts just right. My glasses are great, too. I'm happy I went there. Pros: Nice doctors and staff more

Sunrise is a very good eye care facility. Dr. Potter, the newest doctor, is wonderful. Her manner is professional and warm and she is a most welcome addition to the business. Dr. Wharton can be aloof and cool but that doesn't take away from the knowledge of her profession. You either like Dr. Wharton or you don't. Sunrise is on the pricey side but they do take insurance. Their eyeglasses are very pricey so plan on getting a prescription and taking it somewhere else. I have been a patient for years and have switched to Dr. Potter. Sometimes our health care providers need refresher courses in bedside/patient manners but if they do the job, we can overlook their faults. These visits are never social, nor should they be. Most businesses want to be paid either in full at the time of service or want their patients to have their insurance information ready at hand. I had been a prior patient of Dr. Karen Wharton's and came back to her after being away for a year. Despite me being a returning patient, she was incredibly rude to me during my second visit with her. She refused my right to use my insurance because she and her secretaries were not able to understand my insurance information that was faxed over to them from my insurance company. Cons: Dr. Wharton worried about getting her money more

I think the professionalism and care at Sunrise is phenomenal. When I moved across country, I could find no optometrist whose manner, office help, prescriptions, and frame offerings I liked as well--so I actually travel 1700 miles to see this optometrist. Pros: Great parking, friendly staff, excellent care. Cons: None that I noticed. more

I've been going here for ten years and referring my friends. The Doctors are careful and clear and do a great job. more

The doctor was very rude. She was condescending and snobby. Prices were also above average. I will not visit this clinic again. more
