We bought 2 bikes from these people...one from Rainbow Honda and the other from Rainbow Cycle and Marine...both on the same day. The first of this year, we took one to Rainbow Cycle and Marine to have the wheels and drive cover chromed. They chose a place in CA to do the work. 4 months later, we get the bike back. Front wheel and cover looked great, but the back wheel was a disaster. Pitted all over. When we showed up to get the bike, they acted like they knew nothing about it, that it was all the fault of the CA chromer. Should have expected that, though... they lied to us through the whole thing. So much went on that was bull___t...Here is the timeline: \r
\r
January 2, 2015: When we dropped the bike off, we were told 4-6 weeks. \r
\r
February18-ish, 2015: We called Rainbow to check on progress...were told they hadn't heard anything. \r
\r
March: more calls to Rainbow with no information. \r
\r
End of March: I get ticked off, go to Rainbow and tell Cliff I want the name of the place they sent the parts to. He gave it to me without batting an eye. I go home, call the CA chrome place and they tell me that they didn't even get the parts till the first week of March. It takes one week via UPS to ship. They sat on that bike for 2 months before they sent the parts off...which also means they still had our bike sitting there in one piece in their shop when we called for status the first time in February. \r
\r
April 9, 2015: I call CA chromer again and ask for status. They tell me that they have shipped the parts, they are set to arrive in Rogers, AR on 04/13/2015, but Rainbow isn't open then, so they will be delivered on the 14th. \r
\r
April 15, 2015: My husband (bike owner) calls Rainbow and is told by Cliff that they still haven't heard anything (while the parts were delivered and signed for on the 14th), so my husband talks to Chris (he kind of got dropped in the middle of this crap). Tells him he wants the bike back together and done by the weekend. \r
\r
April 18, 2015: We go to Rainbow to check status of the bike and hopefully bring it home. Nope...not done. In fact, they showed us where the chrome was crap on the back wheel. Blamed it all on the CA chromer...said that they would call them and see about getting a replacement wheel (which was another lie...they didn't even bother). \r
\r
April 23, 2015: I go to Rainbow and fork over 2000 bucks for a sh*tty chrome job, crappy customer service, and a ton of lies. \r
\r
I find out from CA chromer that they found the metal on that rear wheel was bad and called Rainbow before they chromed it. Rainbow didn't call us...no. They told them to go ahead and chrome it. Even though they should have known better. Wanna know why? We bought that bike from them. They sold us a bike with a sh*tty casted rim and they didn't want to replace it. \r
\r
They did NOTHING to make it right. \r
\r
Don't buy from them if you can help it. Definitely don't take your bike there to get ANY work done. They are the worst of the worst. It's amazing all of the horror stories I have heard about them now that I am throwing their name out there in the most negative of ways possible. Take your baby to Heartland in Springdale. They actually care.
