Great golf course 8/20/2005

The Sunnyvale Municipal Golf Course is a local golf course that I have used for years. It is conveniently located off of Maude near 101, 237 and Central. It is so close to Moffet Field that the planes use to fly very close to the course on their approach. This course is not a difficult course. Just a relaxing play. They also have a pro shop located there. Cost to play is inexpensive. more

Good overall Sunnyvale 18-hole course 8/5/2005

I played a round of 18 here on a Saturday in the fall. The maintenance of the greens and fairways was average. It was a medium length course that would be good for anyone that shoots around 85-110 for a round of 18. The course isnt design that tight so it doesnt pose much difficulty for the average golfer. The pace of play was moderate. I walked but still managed to finish 18 in a little over 4 hours. Typically most public courses around here on weekends get tied up behind foursomes that push a round of 18 to 6 hours. I definitely recommend giving this place a shot for twilight golf. The fare is great if you can get a city resident rate. more

small but close 8/3/2005

this is a pretty small golf course, not the greatest, but if you just want to hit some balls and you live in the area it's a great place to go. there isn't a lot of stuff around so it's not like you can go walk downtown after you hit some balls, but it is nice just to get away for the afternoon more
