Sundance Academy

My kids have been going to Sundance since they were in pre-K. We started with the GA pre-K and ended up staying there since then. We like the owner and the teachers there. With both of us working, we get peace of mind knowing that our kids are in good hands, especially that the teachers there, unlike other places, make sure the kids are fed well. Agreed that they don't have Montessori teachers, but the teachers there make sure kids do their homework after school. We have also liked their summer camp that is filled with outdoor activities. more

I love Sundance Academy. Mercy is fabulous. She really cares about the kids under her care and she hires employees that equally care about all the kids. My son has been at Sundance for two years. I was amazed at how much he learned in the GA Pre-K program at Sundance Academy. All the teachers were fabulous. I highly recommend Sundance Academy. more

I LOVE Sundance Academy! The enviroment of this school is warm and welcoming as well as educational. When I am away at work I feel confident my child is receiving excellent care. When I pick my daughter up in the evening she is all smiles and actually doesn't want to leave! As a mom I feel so blessed to have found such a wonderful enviroment for my child, makes my day at work so much easier! My daughter has been going to Sundance since she was an infant and all the teachers have been loving, caring, patient, and all around excellent. The owner Mercy is great, she goes out of her way to make sure my daugher and I are happy. She has created a school where children really learn AND get the love and attention they deserve. more

I simply disagree with the lady who said the owner yells at the kids!!! She will never do that!! In fact I always see her working her ass out, even helping her teachers out when they need her. This whole thing that she yells at kids is just not the owner's character. The center is under new management.....not the Kathy Roman the other person mentioned, so keep that in mind please. The new owner has spent a lot of money making changes. It's a very clean daycare too. My daughter's teachers: Ms. Gabby and Ms. Elisabeth are awesome. I have 2 precious kids and they both attend this school. My son's teacher is another Ms. Elisabeth who just adores him. About lack of school supplies.....please go see for yourself. They are not lacking, at all!!! I have lived in Georgia for 2 years and my kids have attended almost 10 daycares...yes that many. This is the one they stayed the longest because I finally found what I was looking for....a place like home with strong academic foundation! I love it there!!! more

If you only want a babysitter, this place may be a choice. It is no way an educational setting. The classrooms are bare of educational supply. The owner has no clue and can be heard yelling at the children and than switching on her everything is wonderful for the parents. Bottom line this is not a place you want any child to be. cstjames11? February 24, 2012 at 14:45:37 PST No, I have walked in many times hearing the owner yelling at the children and yeas turn it around quickly sugar sweet talking to the parents and children. Go to bright From the Start and check the reviews no warm water in the classrooms. None in the kitchen either--yes your children have been have been having meals from a kitchen with no hot water--not even warm. May be fixed now that the state checked, but bet they did no even check the kitchen. My experience was not with Kathy Roman. more

My son and I LOVE Sundance Academy. He started when he was 4 months old and is now 13 months. The owner, Ms. Merci, is so nice and friendly. She really cares about the children, not just the business. The teachers are all great too. Ms. Nadia in the baby room was like a second mommy to my son and showed true love and affection for him. His new teacher, Ms. Lavaria, in the junior toddler class seems wonderful too. They are very respectful of your personal way of doing things too. I would recommend this school to anyone! more
