I have taken my dogs to Dr. Stevens office for years. I always received the best service from him and his staff.....until recently. Dr. Stevens needs to take a good look at where he was and where he is now. He has come a long way because of his compassionate spirit and good business practices. However, compassion starts at the front desk. His head office assistant obviously has got her head stuck up her butt and a good kick out the door would allow him to flourish even further. She is rude, has no tact and I also cringe at the thought of calling his office for an appointment hoping i don't have to communicate with her. That's sad. The rest of the office staff are wonderful following in Dr. Stevens path........so Dr. Stevens get rid of the tumor in your office and allow everyone including your staff to get a breath of fresh air.\r Respectfully more

The doctor is very caring. He called me on a Sunday to let me know that he had received my letter about my pet passing away. He offered condolences. He also makes sure that his staff is responsible and caring. If they are not, make sure that you write him and let him know because he will have a meeting with the staff and if there is a staff member who is not doing their job, he will take care of it. more

Dr Stevens is a wonderful Vet and I enjoyed my interactions with him and Dr Glover too. She only saw my dog once as a puppy but was wonderful over the phone with advice. I am completely turned off by the office staff, they are awful and are not at all professional!!! They have no people skills whatsoever and are outright RUDE over the phone! I used to cringe when I had to call for anything. My puppy was having some diarrhea issues due to giardia. I was told by Dr Stevens' office staff to put my puppy on Science Diet, of all products! That is the worst dog food in the world! I would not feed that diet to a shelter dog (I have a purebred)! Too bad, maybe when Dr Stevens gets tired of losing business and money, he will consider replacing his office staff! more

I have taken my dogs to Sunburst Animal Hospital for the last 16 years and have received only the most excellent and loving care for my dogs. Dr. Stevens has provided most of the care because of his expertise in the Belgian Malinois breed. He is what I would call a "Dog Whisperer". He can calm a dog without saying a word. The other veterinarians are also extremely caring and skilled. I would not hesitate to recommend this Veterinary Hospital to anyone. more

Sunburst Animal Hospital has been outstanding to work with over the past 6 years. Dr. Stevens and his staff have been helpful and friendly. Dr. Glover was amazing when one of my dogs was not feeling well. She was kind and caring, and she was personable with me throughout the visit. I recommend this vet to all! more

We have been taking our dogs to sunburst for 18 years. Every doctor and tech are dedicated, helpful, and friendly. When our elderly dog, Mitzie, was terminally ill, putting her down was handled with respect and sympathy. We would never take our dogs to any one else. more

We have been taking our pets to Dr. Stevens and Sunburst Animal Hospital for over 20 years. Over that time, we have had three dogs and two cats and they took care of all with such loving care. Aside from their true respect for animals which made us feel that our pets were safe there, we have never noted them to recommend an unnecessary test or procedure. We lived close by for the first 10 years and then moved progressively further away, but still take our beautiful Winston all the way back when he needs a visit. more

I have lived here for 21 years and picked this clinic because of the nearby location to our home. They tended to our previous two dacshunds. They put Texas born Brandy down when she was 17 years old and Tasha only lasted 16 years under their care! We recieved sympathy cards after their passing. We still have my father in law's dog and she is pushing 15 and lived with us for the past 7 years. Granted our dogs are loved and pampered but I have to believe that Sunburst's care reflects on the longevity of their lives. We have always had friendly service and have even taken hamsters in to be put down so they tend to all needs. Now I am in the market for a new doxie so will be inquiring with them for good breeders in the area. I value their judgement and care with my pet children. more

I take all my dogs to Dr. Stevens for OFA Prelim and final hip and elbow xrays. I wouldn't trust any other Dr. to do the films on my dogs. Dr. Stevens tells it the way it is. His staff do not anesthetize for OFA films which I love. I highly recommend the staff and the hospital for all vet needs. more

We took our dog in on Oct. 14 2008 without making an app. now our dog had never been to a vet before and can be skittish with strangers, but we had no problems at all! The ladies at the front desk are friendly and polite. We went in early although we had to wait a bit because we didn't have an app. within 1/2 hr the Dr was checking our dog and told us she had an infected uterus and heart murmur, the operated same day and that evening shes home and in good spirits , back to her normal self, Thank God ! I highly recommend them they are great ! more

this vet is awful! I would not recommend anybody visit this vet if you would like your animals to be cared for.... The vet Wendy Glover was rude, and gave the impression that she didnt like animals.... more

We have a weiner dog who is not good with strangers and this was made clear to the vet before the dog was examined. The vet, Wendy Glover, gave a muzzle to my mom to put on the dog. The muzzle was too big so the vet decided to mess with it. This scared the dog and she nipped the vet's the cuticle area. After being nipped the vet said because she was behind in her rabbies shot the dog would have to be reported to the authorities and, "may have to be put down". My mom, in tears, asked if wecould give her the shot. The vet refused and then proceed to examine our dog, who ended up having a spinal disk problem. She was more than happy to prescribe steriods but would do nothing to make her current on her shots. This is not the first time our dog has been to this vet. In fact, all of our dogs have been going to Sunburst Animal Hospital for years. This is our first experience with Wendy. I just have never had a vet tell me my dog may be put down in such a callous way. She is talkin more
