I rented a jet skii for my birthday on Sunday. I got lost because the address on Google Maps is the owner's home address. Then when I got there the guy barely showed me how to use the jet skii. I was on the water for a couple of hours and somehow managed to flip over. Luckily, this really nice couple came and picked me up. My phone was damaged in the process. It was in the glove compartment and when I flipped over water got in it. We spent probably about an hour looking for the launch site before we were met by two men who took me back. Fast forward to Tuesday, and I get all these threatening texts about the damages to the jet skii and how I'm responsible for paying them. Keep in mind, I paid a $400 deposit for any damages. I look on my credit card charges and he charged $576 without my permission. The owner is money hungry. What's the point of charging $400 then add charges? If there are damages exceeding the $400, he should file a claim with his insurance like normal people do. The owner is lazy and wants customers to hold the bag for all accidents. Then he threatened to take me to court bragging about how he did past customers.
I called him to tell him he could keep the money since he needed more than I do even though I'm a single mother with two kids. During the conversation he hung up on me. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!
