Summit County Justice Court

I am still dealing with Summit County just-us. Twice in 2010 I was pulled over for no apparent reason and told I had no insurance on my vehicle. On both occasions I was able to prove I DID have insurance. The second time my driver's license had lapsed so I expected a ticket but to my amazement the officer had me get out of my car and arrested me! I had no clue but there had been a warrant issued out of South Salt Lake for a single parking ticket!! Less than 6 months old and I had not heard anything about it until being arrested for it! The officer followed me after ""failing to yield"" she had pulled someone else over just around the blind corner by the blue roof 7-11 in the middle of what area residents call the gauntlet. I did see her lights and I saw the car she had detained driving away and thought of getting over but had to turn right on bear hollow and it was clear she was inside her vehicle and should be safe to pass. If I had changed lanes I couldn't have legally made my turn so I slowed way down and inched way over as far as I could away from the sheriff's cruiser and signaled making my turn legally. The Sheriff wasn't satisfied with my cautious measures in the 5 seconds I had to make my decision from first sight to passing her, and she followed and she ran my plate and you know the rest. Long story short the stop led to my; first ever in 38 years, arrest. Then to search of my person and car where they discovered one quarter, thats 1/4 a half of a half of a pill my best friend is prescribed and has to split up her doses, she had asked me to hold it in a clean place, in this case an altoids tin. I thought nothing of such an innocent request nor did my friend. She failed to retrieve it I failed to recall it was there. It turns out to be a highly controlled medication and Summit county sees fit to threaten me with a felony charge with additional charges for lapsed drivers license and here is the kicker REPACKAGING AND RELABELING A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE!!!!!WHAT??!! I have never been in trouble with the law before this mess not even a speeding ticket! I have an older car that doesn't look so hot and if this wasn't profiling I guess I don't know what is. This Sheriff had no reasonable cause to follow me in the first place as for the warrant...what the f...? 1 parking ticket not 6 months old left on my car not given to me...I've never failed to pay a parking ticket in the 20+ years I've been driving. I wish I had the money to hire a fancy lawyer and fight all this but they know I don't but they'll make sure I pay a hell of a lot more than the $1,900 it took to bail me out of jail!! Not bondable said the judge due to my being arrested on a warrant!!! FOFLMAO!!! Can you say FACISM?? I knew you could! more

tHE COURT SYSTEM CATERS TO THE WEALTHY, AND NOT THE INNOCENT.tHE COURTS ARE NOT ORGANIZED AND YOU CAN PULL THE WOOL OVER THE JUDGE IN MANY CASES. jUST DELAY YOUR CASE AS LONG AS YOU CAN AND HE WILL FORGET THE CASE.DOMESTIC VIOLENCE IS LOOKED AT A PAIN TO PROSECUTE NOBODY CARES ABOUT THE ABUSED WIFE OR CHILDREN.tHE HEBER CITY OFFICE OF CHILD PROTECTIVE SERVICE NEEDS TO BE CUT OUT OF OUR TAX PAYER DOLLARS. MOST OF THESE PEOPLE ARE NOT COLLEGE GRADS BUT TAKE LESS TIME TO LEARN ABOUT THEIR JOBS THAN DAYCARE PERSONELL. WHAT A JOKE THEY MAKE LIFE LONG DECISSIONS WITHOUT ASKING FAMILY FOR FRIENDS ABOUT SITUATIONS.IF YOU ARE A PILOT IN SUMMIT COUNTY YOU GET AWAY WITH HORRIBLE CRIMES JUST BECAUSE THEY THE JUDGE THINKS THEY HAVE TO WORK TO PAY BACK WHAT THEY HAVE DONE.LIKE I SAID MONEY TALKS WHY DONT THEY PUT THESE LOW LIFE WIFE BEATER PARISITES IN PRISON AND LET THE FAMILYS PIECE BACK TOGETHER THEIR LIVES AND NEVER LOOK BACK AT THE TRAUMA THESE PEOPLE MAKE TO SOCIETY.
