We have used Summit Automotive for several years, from tires to a new clutch. Always a pleasant experience! At one point, feeling a brake estimate was too high, I went to a Just Brakes in Denver. After two visits, my bill was $250 higher than what Summit Automotive had estimated. I learned my lesson. more

On Tueday Sep 7th while westbound on I-70 we experienced \r brake problems. At the Silverthorne/Dillion exit we inquired at,\r I belive a Shell Station as to where we could have our brakes\r checked. We were directed to your place of business. \r What a good recommendation it was!\r It was late in the afternoon (3:30) and I was not optimistic about getting repair work right away. Your bays were aull full and cars waiting.However, a work order was issued at 3:44 PM and completed at 5:02 pm and we were on our way to Copper Mt. My wife and I want to thank you very much for the excellant service! It was greatly appreciated. On Sept. 1, I went to Summit Automotive Group because of a broken serpentine belt on my Ford Bronco. After three successive repairs and $600, they got it running (temporarily) and I made it only 60 miles to the Colorado River wilderness where my truck was stranded for one week. The mechanic did not speak English. No hablo english. After they fixed the belt, it wouldn't start so they insisted the battery was dead and charged me $134!! for a new battery!! It still wouldn't start and they charged nearly $400 for a new starter. At this point, I suspected they were guessing. They said it was fixed but we got only one start out of it. We made it 60 miles to the river bottom where the belt broke again and stranded me and my family. When I called for help and repairs, Jim was condescending and very unconcerned that I was stranded. It turned out to be a $27 AC bypass belt is all I needed to fix it myself. They do not return my phone calls. Avoid this place unless you want to waste more

I have had both of my cars in with Summit Automotive for mechanical service and tire service. Jim got me in right away, had the service done quickly and correctly, and even vacuumed the carpet! Definitely a Summit County standout in service and quality. more

I own a VW Passat and it was at this facility for 30 days. They refused to repair my vehicle in the manner that both I and the warranty company were satisfied with. I had to tow my vehicle to Denver to a VW Dealer to be fixed after 1 month at this facility. This is not a place to take a vehicle to be repaired! You definately want to get a second opinion before having anything done by this shop. STAY AWAY!! more
