New Management, I'm not happy any more 12/17/2009

I went to buy EZ 2 LEARN. They asked me if I've done skiing before so I answered yes, then they refused to sell it to me. I was totally bummed. I answered yes because I went there about 4 years ago and purchased EZ123 (or something like that) and I used ONLY 1 day out of the three days. I wasted money but I was too lazy to go after the one day. Anyway, I wanted to give it another try and they refused to sell it to me. They tried to find me in their system but they couldn't because that was like 4 years ago and heard they changed the owner twice since then. Now it's owned by Boeing and I guess they are being really strict unreasonably to be profitable?!! Anyway, I had to go back and forth to their guest service office and finally purchased it. Now I was excited to get a lesson. Yes, I did get a lesson but what no magic carpet (whatever they call it. The flat escalator for beginners and kids.) Even the instructor told me it was a rip off not having the facility ready. For the next hour and a half, I had to walk back up the hill every time I went down. After all that walking in ski boots, I was totally exhausted and couldn't enjoy the rest of the day. I almost got sick the next day and don't know if I can go for the 2nd and 3rd day of the EZ 2 LEARN. Pros: Not too far. Better and cleaner now. Cons: Some bad employees more

Best place to learn, biggest night skiing, Alpental is sick 12/19/2007

Obviously that previous poster is either an idiot or they've never been to Alpental, which is most definitely NOT boring. The summit is the best place to learn and has the best and biggest night lit area, open until 10pm. The terrain at Summit west, central and east can feel a bit benign at times, but Alpental has some extreme terrain as well as a sizeable backcountry area, all within a 45-55 minute drive from Seattle. Not my favorite location to ride, but a worthy destination for so many reasons. Pros: close to seattle, has Alpental and great night skiing Cons: heavy snow, occasional rain, crowds more

Convienet, easy, worth it 10/14/2004

As a beginner boarder I have been here a few times. Overall a very enjoyable experience. Runs at summit west are excellent for beginners, advanced boarders seem to enjoy the freestylye park. The place to go for more variety is summit central, take the shuttle from summit west or traverse the mountain to get there. Snow was good, lines were busy but not bad Pros: convienent location, variety, night skiing Cons: , crowds more

Slide down a hill in a slick inner tube for $10-$15, depending on age and time of day. (Note to adults: Don't be shy, kids make up only half the traffic on the busy tube hill)....
