I switched to sweetgrass pediatrics. this degrading, rude and uninformative man should not be allowed to work with children. to put it bluntly, screw him and his rude staff. more

I recently moved to the summerville area from west ashley. It is a 30 minute drive to Coastal pediatrics in west ashley, where my son used to go, so we decided to find another doctor in the area. The first time we went to Summerville Peds we waited in the waiting room for 2 hours. They said they forgot about us. Then we waited in the room for 30 minutes. EVERYTIME (3) we have taken our son there the Doctors show no interest in our child. He is 2 years old and will do anything to get a smile from an adult. Not even a facial expression comes from these people. The Doctor is very cut and dry. She not once tried to relate to him. I would almost say that one of the Doctors in morbid. We had a test done that had to be taken to the hospital to be tested and we never got a call back about the results as well. The doctor's seem to hate life and their job. The place is outdated and not very welcoming. I also saw them putting kids from the ""well waiting room"" in the same rooms and the kids from the ""sick waiting room"". Our son was sick as a dog after leaving there the next day. I do not recommend this doctor to anyone. more

I have been using this place for a year and telling myself it's going to get better, but I have had it! Working in the medical field myself it baffles me how you can enter a job working with children and yet manage to be the least friendly staff I have ever met. They are unhelpful and on occasion just plain rude. I needed copies of something from the records of my son. The MA was just plain rude and certainly talking down to me. When i finally got what I needed I asked the receptionist for the MA's full name but she put me on hold and went away, when she came back she refused to give me it!!! They barely talk, put you in a room where you can be waiting for the Dr for over and hour. He will then waltz in and go through he pre-scripted monologue on what a child this age should be doing and promptly leave with very little, if any conversation. So, tomorrow I am Dr hunting. This was the wort clinic Ive been in. I simply went to ""meet the new dr"" for my son. There was one old very dirty toy. No one told me that I should wait in the non sick waiting room. I waited 1 hour and no one came into the exam room. the exam room was old, filthy, and contained stained old furniture. I left before I evn saw the dr. I was told they were short staffed. I felt as though I was in a 3dr world country. Pros: in town Cons: everything! more
