Fun Music Camp 3/16/2006

Summer Strings is usually held at the Poughkeepsie Day School in the summer. I used to come here evrey summer, and loved it every time! There is an orchestral portion and a fiddle portion, which are both loads of fun. The week ends with 2 concerts on thursday and friday. Also, there is Jeopardy, where string players compete in rhythm counting and music vocab competitions. summer strings is a great summer camp for younger string players, and I reccomend it more

Summer Strings is a camp during the summer for kids who play an instrument in the strings family. This camp is offered for three weeks during the summer. It is a day camp for string players in 3rd through 9th grade. Part of the day the students play in a orchestra and another part of the day the students do fiddle playing. After lunch the students then play a game of jeporady that relates to music. The kids learn a lot from this camp! The teachers are exceptional and are the best in the county! more

Great Summer Camp for String players 8/13/2005

Summer Strings is a three-week day camp for string players in 3rd through 9th grade. This is a great camp which features orchestra playing and fiddle playing. You learn a lot from this camp! The teachers are exceptional and are the best in the county! There are also many performances from fiddle groups. Its great for bonding and a wonderful learning experience! more
