We have been taking our kids (pets) to Summer Hills Veterinary Hospital since 2006. Dr. Davis is wonderful with our 5 cats and 2 boxers. The staff is always friendly and helpful especially Connie. Our boxers have very sensitive digestive systems and Connie always seems to know what kind of food is best for them. \r I have been to other Veterinary Hospitals before going to Summer Hills. I would never take my kids (pets) anywhere else. They really care about our pets and treat them as if they where their own.\r Bottom line.....When it come to the health and care of your pets Summer Hills Veterinary Hospital is the place to go.\r \r All our thanks to Dr. Davis and Connie. I've been taking my pets to Summer Hills Veterinary Hospital since 1995. Dr. Davis and the staff are knowledgable and compassionate. I've taken my cats and dogs in for routine exams, dentals, and illnesses. Dr. Davis always takes the time to explain things thoroughly, making sure that the diagnosis of any problems and the treatments are understood. \r Connie has also been a blessing throughout the years. She helped me on several occasions regarding my dogs' dietary needs, knowing exactly how to balance caloric intake and nutritional needs right down to the amount of treats that can be given in a day! She was also there for me when I had to have my cat euthanised, giving me support when I needed it the most.\r If you want to take your pet companions to a place where they get excellent care, this is the place to go. more

Best Vet 2/11/2012

We highly recommend Summer Hills Veterinary Hospital to anyone who is looking for a Veterinarian. We have been with Dr. Dave Davis since the late 1980s when he was located in Roseville and he cared for our two Siberian Huskies. We adopted an Alaskan Malamute several years ago after the Huskies died. Connie has been instrumental in keeping him in good shape by making sure he has the right diet. He became critically ill with anemia last June and Dr. Davis and his staff gave up their July 4th weekend to make sure he got a blood transfusion which saved his life. Thanks to their wonderful care, he is now recovered. \r \r Dr. Davis and his staff have always been friendly and very informative and helpful. Our pets have always liked going to the Vet’s office and that has to say something about the quality of the people who work there.\r more

THE BEST VET & VETERINARY HOSPITAL IN CITRUS HEIGHTS!!! CA 2/1/2012

If you want a veterinarian to go beyond your expectation, and treat your pets as their own, then I highly recommend going to Dr. Dave Davis, at Summer Hills Veterinary Hospital. All of my pets (cats) past and present have been taken care of by Dr. Davis. His staff really does care and are very helpful. Connie (dietation for your pets) is exceptional. She helped me get my cats weight under control. I learned a lot about the k-cals in the foods we give our pets to eat. It took time, but my cats weight is under control thanks to Connie teaching me what type of food to feed her, and how much. Again if you are looking for a vet, I highly recommend going to Dr. Davis at Summer Hills Veterinary Hospital, located in Citrus Heights, Ca. more

Really great place for new pet owners 2/1/2012

I didn't know much about taking care of my new puppy. So I was really relieved when I spoke to the receptionist at Summer Hills and she told me about their vaccine program. The doctor was able to answer all of my questions and Connie talked to me about the right food to use and how much to feed. Every time I have come in I get greeted with a smile, and my name, and they remember Diego's name too. It's hard to find a business that makes you feel like family. I am really glad I chose to come to Summer Hills. more

A great place to take your pets! 11/23/2011

I would reccomend Dr. Davis and his staff to everyone. They are friendly and courteous. And Dr. Davis is very knoweledgeable. I love how well he explains everything, even drawing me diagrams. I will be a long term client. more

Highly recommended Veterinarian Hospital 9/9/2011

I am so happy to have found such a warm and welcoming vet clinic for my dog Sadie. She usually reacts poorly to vet visits. She can tell where we are just by the smell of so many other animals and her behavior changes immediately; acting afraid and jumpy. I informed Dr. Davis and his staff members of my situation and when we arrived they put Sadie at ease right away. They took great care of her and remember how to accommodate her fears each time we return. They built a relationship with Sadie and I and continue to nurture that relationship. The staff at Summer Hills Veterinarian Hospital is quick, efficient and empathetic to my individual situations. WORST VET IN THE WORLD 7/13/2009

Absolutely AWFUL! I can't stress enough how horrible this place is. My mother in law had to put her beloved German Shepard to sleep recently. The Veterinarian was absolutely awful - no empathy, compassion, or caring. THEN - she paid for cremation with a plaque and paw print. She received the bill for GENERAL BURIAL - she will never get that small piece of mind that her dog is with her forever - She now thinks her dog lies in a mass grave with other unwanted/unloved pets. This has absolutely crushed her beyond comprehension\r \r Cons: THEY DONT CARE more
