Sullivan's used to be good... even great. The steaks were amazing, the service wonderful, and the atmosphere relaxing. All that's gone. They've clearly hired a very young serving staff, and they don't know what they're doing.\r
We started with crab claws for an appetizer. They were tasteless and obviously frozen. Very difficult to get out of the claw. We made a mess of the table struggling with them (shell everywhere). They picked up the plates but didn't bother to clean anything up. Come on... this is supposed to be fine dining. Even if we were stupid and made a mess, how about making an attempt to clean it up?\r
Two of us ordered medium well steak. One came rare and had to be sent back. Of course it returned well done. Mine came VERY unevenly cooked. Parts were well done, parts were rare.\r
The waitress was very nice, but disappeared for 15-20 minutes at a time. We said with empty drinks for far too long.\r
My rule in Baton Rouge used to be: Flemings first, then Sullivans, then Ruth Chris's. Ruth's just got bumped up a notch by default.
Pros: Atmosphere... it's still a nice place
Cons: The Service!!!!!! If you're hiring a 20 year old, teach them what to do!
