I tried to camp at the Sugar Mill Ruins Campgrounds, and was greeted by one of the rudest people I have ever met. The owner, who I was in contact with for 2 weeks about my stay, met me at the door of the Office, and said we don't rent to anyone but big RV's!!! ( I was in a fullsize Van, and had told him that in my first e-mail to him). After I explained to him that I had been in contact with him, and he said it was allright, he huffed and said"" I guess I'll rent you a spot."" I just told him to not bother I didn;t like his attitude and would just stay up the street at New Smyrna Campgrounds. It was a good decision. N.S. Campgrounds was a very nice, and quiet place. I was greeted by the owner, who was leaving the office for the night, and she just took me to a spot, andd told me to park there. She didnt even make me check in, and told me to just pay her in the a.m. I will definatley stay at N.S. campgrounds again, and will recomend them to everyone. Just drive by Sugar Mill and give them the 1 finger wave, I did all weekend LOL.
Cons: owner is rude, and unfriendly
