I went to Sugar Sugar for the first time today, and I really liked it and recommend it to anyone who likes sweets, especially someone who is looking for something sweet beyond what drug stores carry (I know I am).
I got the staff person to myself, and she gave me several samples of candies from jars sitting behind the counter - I loved that, as it helped me choose what to buy. I noticed the shop had several unique and/or imported candy bars, bulk candies in jars, lollipops, chocolate bars, and rare gum by the register, among other things. The space is very pretty and well-decorated. The staff person, who I believe is the proprietor, was very knowledgeable about the products she carried and would be able to make great recommendations if you tell her what you like or what you're looking for.
The shop is in South Minneapolis across from Victor's 1959 Cafe; it's a neat little area, with a used clothing store nearby too. It is accessible via a few different bus routes (18, 4, 23).
Pros: knowledgable staff, unique assortment, beautiful shop
