Sugar is a fabulous salon! I travel from Mass to get my hair done at Sugar and it is always well worth the trip. I always leave with what I refer to as ""model hair"" and I always get a ton of compliments on my cut and color! Noelle is like a master chemist mixing colors to get the best shade that will enhance my natural color and flatter my skintone tone. I also love that Noelle and Angela always have new suggestions and ideas. You also can't beat the atmosphere in Sugar, it is fun and laid back. It is just a blissful vibe! more

FINALLY 3/2/2011

I have been to so many salons trying to find a stylist who can get my hair the perfect blonde. It was either too brassy or too bleached, etc. I went to see Noelle at Sugar about 4 years ago and have been going faithfully since then. She has an amazing talent to be able to create and customize the perfect color and style. I have refered friends to Sugar and they are very happy as well. I highly recommend Sugar salon. more

The best haircut in town 3/1/2011

I know a few women who swear by the place and always look great, so I figured I would give it a try for a basic men's haircut. Fun and relaxing atmosphere and a terrific finished product. Very reasonable price too. Highly recommended. more

Best Color and Very Relaxing 3/1/2011

I used to get very stressed knowing that I had a hair appointment. It was always a battle with my stylist to get the color that I wanted. When I met Noelle and started going to her adorable salon, Sugar, hair appointments became something to look forward to. She listens to me and every time I leave the salon with the perfect dark brown color. I can't even tell you how great my hair looks. In addition, the atmosphere is very calm and unique. Noelle and Angela are the 2 stylists that work there and they make it a very pleasant and happy experience. Oh, and you look hot when you leave! more

Sugar Rocks 3/4/2009

Sugar is the best salon in CT. They pay close attention to what you want and they follow through precisely. The music playing in the background makes you feel like you're in a swanky NYC salon. It's a wonderful place to just relax and let the stylists do their work more

Best Haircut and Color in a Convenient Downtown West Hartford 1/14/2009

I've been getting my hair cut by Angela for over 2 years now and I love her! I have been to upscale salons in Manhattan and all over Fairfield County, but without a doubt, Angela has given me the best cut and color I've ever had. I travel over 1.5 hours from Norwalk, CT and it's worth it. Noelle and she make the salon an easy place to be - it's cozy, it's friendly and it's right in the middle of quaint downtown West Hartford. Best Haircut in West Hartford 11/18/2008

Bottom line - go to Sugar if you want a great haircut. I'm picky about my hair and Noelle and Angela both have the skills and style to do it right. It's a small, relaxing salon and to me that's way better than a big salon with 20 people all yaking too loudly. On top of that, prices are reasonable and the location is perfect if you want to get a great haircut and then grab dinner or a drink at Bricco's, Barcelona, Grants, Max's Oyster Bar, or tons of other great bars and restaurants (all these places are seconds away by walking). Check out Sugar - it will definitely be worth your time. Pros: Relaxing atmosphere, easy parking, great location for dining/shopping Cons: none so far more

Best Hair Salon in West Hartford! 11/18/2008

If you have not been to Sugar Salon yet, you need to go! It has such a great vibe and the stylists Noelle and Angela make you feel completely at ease. Great Styles, Great Music and Great products. Pros: Stylists keep up with Current Styles, Convenient parking more

Best atmosphere! 6/19/2006

Sugar is the kind of place you want to keep all to yourself, but can't help sharing with your best friends! Sugar is an intimate, warm and relaxing salon. The stylists, Deb and Noelle are real pros and excellent at making you feel welcome. I've had many problems with having my hair colored in the past, but now that I'm going to Sugar, my hair has never looked better. I love the ever changing wall decor and colors; it makes it so exciting to go and see what's new! The atmosphere is amazing... I never want to leave! Pros: Professional, knowledgeable staff.
