Style Masters For Hair

I am in an Aveda cosmotology school and I went to Style Masters because I was looking for a salon that used Aveda products because they are the only products that really do what they say they do( it's amazing)!! I loved my time in the salon, I didn't want to leave, it was so much fun. All the girls are friendly and helpful. I also got to meet the owner and she was so sweet, we had a great conversation. I never been to a salon where I felt so comfortable and wanted. I can't wait til my next appiontment. I also think they are so much cheaper then other salons, I am in this feild and I know what salons are charging and if you think Style Masters is too expensive then you should probaly go to CVS and do your hair at home because you are not going to find cheaper and get the same talent these guys have. I love this place! Whatever you need done, there is always someone there who can help you. If my stylist is not available, I have no problem having someone else color my hair or cut my hair. They all do such a great job. Obviously, everyone who works there has been very well trained. And I love the fact that they use Aveda products. My hair has never looked better. I have been to Style Masters many times over the last 10 years and each time I go, the experience is wonderful. From the hear on my head to my toes, the services are always excellent. My stylist is professional and you can tell by her attitude that she loves her job there. I have NEVER had a bad experience and the facials are to die for. I feel like I'm the most important person in there when I walk in and I always look great when I leave. more

Can't say enough good things about Style Masters. I've been a client there for over 15yrs! From the time you walk in the door until you leave, you are treated like an old friend that everyone is happy to see. My stylist always knows the latest color techniques and is always willing to take extra time to help me decide what it is I want to do with my hair next! I was recommended by my friend to go to Style Masters to get my hair colored. So, I set up an appointment with them to do a double process color (go from a dark brown to a light blonde) and a cut over the phone. I get there and wait 15 minutes after my appointment is supposed to start, and I talk to the girl who was supposed to cut and color my hair. She asks what i want to do, and I tell her that I want to go blonde. She looks at me and says "the thing is, that takes time" I told her that thats what I scheduled and then they say that they will reschedule. They didn't do anything that would make me want to go back there.. more

I have been going to Stylemasters for about 7 years now, and have had my hair cut & styled by several of their stylists. They never disappoint. They are courteous, understanding, and they listen to you, which is kind of important when its YOUR hair! They also spend a good deal of time on your shampooing, including massaging your scalp, which is fantastic at the end of a long day. They are always able to get me in for an appointment within a day to a few days notice, and my appointments have NEVER started more than a couple minutes late & that is rare. I have been around the block when it comes to salons and have been unhappy with several for various reasons (stylists were snobbish or talked TOO much about their personal lives, were too rough with my hair, didn't cut it the way I asked them to, appts start late, etc.) until I found Stylemasters. I used them for my wedding hairstyle (as did 5 other members of my family), and wedding day make-up, and I was extremely pleased. I can't say enough about them, and Jody who does my hair, is AWESOME! The only reason I did not give them 5 stars was because of their prices. When I started going there years ago, they charged $33 for a shampoo, cut & blowdry. Its now $45, which feels like a lot. However, we are a capitalist society when people are willing to pay for it, they are within their rights to charge that much. It also seems to be the going rate in this area, so when you compare apples to apples, they are in line with other salons that offer the same level of service. I may have to go back to a Hair Cuttery-type place if my financial situation gets worse, I can't justify spending that much on my hair if I can't pay the bills - but it would pain me greatly since I have grown to love the place. The hairdresser charged me 50% more for basic services than what is listed in their brochure, then charged me on top of that for "extras" like toner to finish my highlights. When I questioned the inflated prices, I was offered no explanation other than "that's what all OUR customers pay." I was clearly being taken advantage of, but the clear message was: "If money is an object to you, we don't want your business." It's a good haircut, but if you value integrity and respect your money, take your business elsewhere. more
