Studio Zen

I tried to find a good stylist for over a year when I moved to the OKC area. FINALLY, I found Sky at Studio Zen. Oh my gosh. I love what I look like when I leave. The color is always natural looking, my haircut is always exactly what I want (even if I didn't know I wanted a specific look and left it up to her), and she is just stinkin cool so chatting it up is so much fun. Over all, this place kicks some serious boody. more

I went to this salon back in August to fix a small issue from a previous haircut. I researched this salon and made it very clear I needed someone who understood long, thick, wavy hair. I was booked with Skye Starzinski and it was one giant mistake. I had long, healthy, almost one length hair that I had been growing out for about a year and a half. I was very detailed about what I wanted and what I did not want her to do and how I wear my hair. Well, she completely destroyed it with her thinning shears. I even had pieces of hair behind one ear that was at least four to five inches shorter that the other side. All the way behind my ear! She not only hacked unevenly everywhere in my hair, it is now split and dead and has broken off very badly. I have had to cut 6 inches off of my hair because of the breakage and the fact there was about a five inch difference on one side of my hair. I had really thick hair, healthy hair and when I went to see my old hairdresser I had moved from, he told me he it didn't even feel like my hair anymore. I can't imagine how thin it would have been if I had not told her to stop, I mean it was pretty visable. Skye, you need to find another profession, you ruined my hair because of your lack of skill and inability to listen to your client. I would never recommend this salon to anyone, ever. more

I'm picky about my hair, and I won't stop until I find a talented stylist. I stopped once I found Lauren Deger at Studio Zen. She always gives me a beautiful cut, and it's clear that she enjoys what she does. I love to recommend her to my friends. Lauren is great! more

I received one the the worst hair cuts of my life at studio zen. The girl who cut my hair was very very nice and had about 6 years exoerience... but she trashed my hair. I have the most simple hair to cut... it's long, fine with a few layers. I already had a nicely shaped cut I received from a girl who had only been doing hair for about a year at Iloff Salon. The girl who cut my hair at Studio Zen cut completely random layers.... my hair looked very thin at the ends and hacked into. Normally all I do to style my hair is blow it dry and it all lays down nice and smooth. After receiving this terrible hair cut, when I would blow dry my hair all these random pieces would stick out every where... so embarrassing.... all i could do is wait for my hair to grow out and then have it fixed at Iloff. more

Every time I go to Salon Zen I walk out feeling beautiful. They always know what to do with my hair even when I'm not sure myself. The salon is always clean and the people are friendly and upbeat. I love it there and will not go anywhere else. more

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Studio Zen and my hairstylist Ryan Dunn. Ryan has been doing my hair for several years and I am always ecstatic when I leave. My friends and coworkers always comment on how great my hair looks after an afternoon of pampering with Ryan at Studio Zen. Don't go anywhere else, call or schedule on line for a wonderful experience. more

Absolutely the best haircolor I have ever had. Looks so natural and vibrant. The girls at studio are so friendly and very helpful. I felt comfortable and welcome. If you want a great experience, go to Studio Zen! more

This is the best place on campus corner to get a hair-cut. I've been going here for years. It's always clean. It's cool looking inside, I especially like the stained concrete floors. It is always busy in there. (You know what they say about a full parking lot at a restaurant.... It is safe to eat there.) They play good music, and every time I've been, I've enjoyed some good (usually hilarious) conversation. It is lively and upbeat. Thanks Studio Zen for making me look good for the ladies....LOL more

This place was horrible! They turned my hair green and fried it! And I was blonde to begin with, so I don't see how it was even possible! I've called numerous times and left messages asking them to please contact me because I would like it to be fixed and no one will return my phone calls! Also, the salon is dirty and cheaply decorated. Don't waste your time or money! I'd rather go to Supercuts! more

I have natural spiral curls, and there are a lot of stylists who don't know what to do with my hair. Each and every time I have had any service done at Studio Zen it is a homerun. People are friendlier and more accomadating to me when I have a new do from Melanie. So what are you waiting for. Pick up the phone and make your world a happier place. more

I have never written a review before but I feel that I should let others know of the really bad experience I had with Joey at Studio Zen. He poked my eye with the scizzors and burned my head with the blow dryer. The cut was so bad that the owner had to fix it. It was just a really bad experience and I hope that you will consider what I have been thru before you go there. more

AWESOME, Wonderful, PROFESSIONAL, Relaxing, and my loved one walked out feeling like a Princess. I recently took a very dear loved one to STUDIO ZEN and she had an appointment with Joey. I had heard about his professionalism, his meticulous attention to detail, and I had seen some of his awesome work. His other clients had also commented on what a great personality Joey has and how easy he was to talk to during your appointment. I was very confident in booking with him for my special girl. When we walked into Studio Zen I noticed immediately what a GREAT atmosphere this salon provides. From the Salon Manager to each of the stylists they ALL make you feel very comfortable and welcome. STUDIO ZEN is the Heart beat of Campus Corner and by far the best salon in Norman in my opinion, and now there are at least two more people that thinks Joey is the Heartbeat of STUDIO ZEN?If you are looking for someone who will take their time to create the style that you are striving for, as well as a caring and compassionate stylist?STUDIO ZEN has just the Stylist for you!
