went to get my hair done. and owner had his little girl running around screaming. treating it like it was a daycare or something. the stylists were talking about the cocaine they did the night before. the haircut was horrible, my layers were uneven and it was waaaay shorter than i wanted and the OWNER cut my hair! NEVER again will i go there, and did i mention the huge subwoofer in the back that rattles the whole buiding and the unpainted walls?? yea, consider yourself warned more

Going to Nam's studio was the best thing I could have done for myself. There's nothing better than enjoying the invigorating feeling of sitting down having your hair done while being submerged in the natural light that shines so beautifully through all the windows that surround Studio N. And the top off of this luxurious experience is that he gave me the best haircut I have EVER had! There's nothing better than having a hairstyle that actually makes you feel SEXY ;) Thank you Nam! Ever had a haircut and wondered if your hairstylist was listening to you. Or cared about their job or your hair for that matter. Sure, Studio N provides you with the experience of being in an upscale LA salon. Sure, Studio N has reasonable prices. Aloha...I am one happy little lady. Today I had my hair cut and styled by the handsome and extremely talented Nam at Studio N. I was very anxious when I walked into his salon for a few reasons. One being I haven't really had luck with hairstylist since moving here to New Mexico. Sure there have been a few times where I liked my haircut but, when Nam did my hair; I loved it! I showed him the pic of the haircut I wanted and he actually took the time to study the style and he suggested a few adjustment...which I loved. He took his time in cutting my hair and didn't rush through it which made me feel like my time with him was important to him and that he wanted me to walk out of there feeling happy and satisfied. Which I was. I hadn't had my hair cut in 9 months because of the bad haircuts I was getting. I am so happy I found my new stylist. I highly recommend him. more

I always go into a salon worried about how my hair is going to look when I get out. I have a lot of hair and its long. Most hair stylist get tired of my hair half way in and then just chop the rest and I'm never happy with the end result. Nam cut and styled my hair. It is the best cut i have ever had. He took his time and Styled my hair. I couldn't stop looking at it in the mirror. I am a very happy customer and will continue to be. Thank You Nam! more

Studio N is an electric wave of pure professional perfection. Nam has rescued my hair several times from wrong haircut nightmares. Nam's attention to the customers needs are brilliant. I am very happy that Nam has his own studio now. The studio is clean, bright, comfortable and welcoming. Even if Nam wasn't in New Mexico, I'd take the trip to where ever he was! more

I have extremely curly hair, so it's difficult to find a salon that knows what to do with me. I saw Nam and absolutely LOVE my hair! The cut is great and the blowout is perfect!!! After many failed attempts at finding a stylist in what was a new city for me, I decided to give one last salon a try. Otherwise, I found myself flying back to Chicago to avoid any disappointments (or to fix what had been a disaster). What initially attracted me to Studio N was the simplicity of the salon itself, it had style...(a quality that unfortunately seems rare in Abq) after moving from such a big city full of it, it was refreshing. I not only got an amazing cut and color (and a few laughs in the chair)- I may find myself flying back to Abq after the next move to achieve the same results without having to experience the anxiety of what's to come! I also witnessed a few transformations among other ladies at the salon during my visit. Finding a stylist you trust in a new city can be a real ""adventure""- but thankfully mine is complete. I can't wait to send friends to see Nam as well. Amazing. So thankful to have found a fun, stylish salon with a great team of people to trust. more

Studio N totally completed my 2011!! On New Years Eve at 5pm they got me in a chair the minute I walked in the door. Robyn the AwEsOmE RoCk StyLisT was VERY FRIENDLY & made me feel like I was chattin with 1 of my girls!! The OWNER Nam is REALLY involved with his Salon & takes pride in what they have 2 offer thier customers!! I would recommend this place to ANYONE in need of a GREAT SALON !! more

Nam Tran views his craft as an art form and he truly does amazine work. His salon is very minimilist and it is refreshing to not be overwhelmed with a lot of products and services. Nam focuses on hair and not anything else. He also gives the BEST blow out in town!! more

I have been to most of the salons in town and I will never return to another stylist. Nam gave me the most amazing haircut that I had ever got. After getting the haircut I went to visit my parents and they immediately commented on how amazing my haircut was. Nam is by far the best in town. If you bring in your styling tools he will show you how to get the look you want. I will never go to another stylist. I highly recommend that you ladies make an appointment with Nam. This salon is hip, the stylists are amazing and I always leave feeling like a million! My husband first went to Nam when Nam was at another salon. His hair always looked very GQ after a cut. It took him 2 years to convince me to give Nam a try. I will never go anywhere else and I'm thrilled that Nam has opened his own salon. Nam has continued to style my hair fabulously and Jackie does an amazing job with color. Robyn now cuts my husband's hair if Nam is booked. And, she does a wonderful job on our 8-year old's hair. Now, it might sound like a kids' cut is no big deal, but this kid has unbelievably thick locks and it takes a lot of talent to keep her hair thinned, layered and easy for a kid to manage. I highly recommend Nam and his crew for a new you!!!!! more

I discovered this brand new place, and decided to take a chance. What I found was the best hair place in town. I have been to many or all of the top rated salons in town. This is my new number one place. At Studio N, they take the time to make sure and give you the style you want and educate you on how to style your hair on your own. I love my new hair cut, and the products used. I have chemical sensitivities and had no problems here. The atmosphere is positive with great upbeat tunes playing in the air. Overall, it was a great experience. more

Simply love my new hair!! Went to Jackie at Salon N with a little hesitation after several bad hair experiences else-where. Jackie came as a recommendation from a trusted friend so I decided to take a chance. YAY for me! First trip was for a cut only. This way I could measure the place up! She was forced with not only giving me a good cut fixing all the bad cuts before her! Voila! Left looking simply beautiful with hair I can make gorgeous on my own. Everyone there was outgoing and fun ....and the shampoo bed could have been my permanent home. So now I have just completed with my third appointment completing color and extensions!! Every visit was great. Nam, the owner, has created a fabulous place and has a vibrant personality. He has just that right amount of class so as not to come off as snooty but you know he is hip! My stylist Jackie is beautiful and always has great hair which is comforting when she is in charge of mine!! I am now officially addicted to Studio N and my hair is officially HOT!! more

If you want a cutting edge look that will turn heads, you must go to Studio N. I have been to many other salons and with quality you find here is bar none the best. My stylist Nam was highly recommeded and with just cause. He took pride in my hair cut and used that scissor with ease( no shaver needed )...I walked out feeling like a million bucks!! IS HER HAIR!!!! Okay so I am a 34 year old woman that has natural curley hair. All you women out there that have my hair (curley hair) know what I am talking about when I say that I've been through millions of products and hair stylists just to find the right one. 34 years later.... I ran into a gentleman that opened a business in Corrales, NM and I went in and felt like it was all about me. My hair and I were treated like queens. He knew exactly how to cut my hair and if your like me, I ALWAYS HAVE MY HAIR UP.... now I am able to wear it down and feel great!!! People compliment my hair and ask questions about my hair. It's about time that Albuquerque gets a contemporary but knowledgable stylist. The shop is plain but grabbing and the essentials are classy and welcoming.
