Best Stylist in Nashville! 3/5/2010

I have been seeing stylist Dusty Marsh for almost two years now! He is incredible! I never know what I want to do with my hair and he always makes it look great! You can tell his passion for the business in the way that he cares about his clients and their needs. Pros: Great Atmosphere, experienced stylists! Cons: in brentwood, but worth the drive! more

Eric Wright, who USED to do hair at studio gaven was amazing. He knew exactly what i wanted without me even having to be very detailed. And I have referred plenty of people to him since then. He is so inviting to be around in general, which is nice when you go somewhere new, and he is very easy to talk to about any idea you have with your hair. He always wants you to do what you feel best with, but gives his professional opinion to tweek or improve your vision. All-in-all he is ABSOLUTELY amazingggg. Please please please get your hair done by him. He has been doing my hair for 5 years and I can't imagine anyone else doing my hair!! Pros: eric wright more

Love my color! 2/18/2010

Jana Everett of Studio Gaven has cut my hair a few times. Every time I leave, I love my new haircut! I also get constant complements on my bangs. Recently she suggested to put some panels of color in my hair. I love them, it is a fun new look that I have never had. I definitly would not have done it without her suggestions! Thanks Jana! more

Great service 2/9/2010

I have always had great service at Studio Gaven. My stylist Jana Everett gives a great cut and color. The entire staff is extremely friendly and caters to the customer's needs. I do not have any complaints about this salon an would recommend it to anyone that wants a great salon experience! more

Hands down, the best haircut I've ever had! 2/8/2010

From the front desk, to the shampoo bowl, to the chair, the staff was the friendliest I've seen, and I've seen plenty. Jana Everett was my stylist. I recieved a wash, cut, and style. She was extremely professional, wonderfully welcoming, and my hair looked the best it ever has. From the minute I arrived to the minute I walked out the door, my Studio Gaven experience was exceptional. I highly recommend this establishment. Pros: Great atmosphere, great staff, great service! Attentive to client's wants and concerns. great technical skills and wonderful conversation. Hair turned out like a model out of a magazine!!!! Husband didnt like it initially but when other men were admiring it, he reconsidered!!!! Jess is great, in his skills as a colorist as well as a hair stylist. Would recommend again and again!!! would drive from manchester again (and will) to have him do my hair!!!! Thanks Studio Gaven and Jess!!!!!!! After moving to Brentwood and "chair hopping" for a year, I read about Studio Gaven's new talent in the Tennessean. I tried Autumn Lambert for my color and highlights and have never been more pleased with my hair! She devoted every second to making me comfortable and matched my color perfectly. She also cut and styled my super long hair exactly the way I wanted! I am so happy I found such a great stylist at a great price! I will recommend her to everyone! I finally found someone that I trust to do my hair! 9/4/2009

I had stopped spending time and money on getting my hair cut, colored,and styled at a salon. It was never really what I wanted and I thought having my hair done was supposed to make me feel good. Well, now I have Micah and I feel and look great. He is honest with me and had alot of good ideas. He also gives me helpful and simple tips to maintain the style and color. I love the way he cuts it and the color is amazing. I always get lots of compliments on it. I feel like a new person inside and out. THANKS MICAH! I love this Salon 9/1/2009

I have very fine hair and have a hard time styling it and making it look good everyday. Kim Lear really helped me find a style for my hard to deal with hair. She makes it look full and shiney and I get compliments now every day! I just love it. I have searched for a stylist that really could work with my hard to manage hair and she really got the job done. I will never see anyone else!!! Thanks Kim for making me beautiful!! Great Atmosphere 9/1/2009

I love going to Studio Gavin to get my hair done. I see Kim Lear and she is amazing. I always leave excited about the way my style turned out. The atmosphere of the Salon is also great. It is a fun salon and everyone is so friendly and professional. I always look forward to my next appointment. Did I mention that Kim Lear is great!! You should check her out! This salon has it all. It has a New York feel with a southern hospitality welcome. Now that I get my hair cut here all my friends ask me who cuts my hair? I tell them to see Micah. I love my cut ! Everyone is great there! Pros: ITS THE BEST! Cons: NONE more

Had my hair done there a few times. The color always looked great but nothing exceptional. I am very bored there and the person doing my hair is a cold fish and she can't cut hair. I won't be back. Very overpriced for such a low level of service. Pros: Good Color Cons: Not a great haircut. more

I felt so welcome the moment I walked into this salon! I didn't know anyone there so I had just told them to book me with someone good. They booked me with Jason Kennedy. He is the best hair stylist I have ever had! He really listened to me and he did not have a "diva" attitude. He was so kind and really took his time to give me perfect hair! I got hi-lights and lo-lights, which he suggested. It looked so perfect and so natural! Let me tell you his shampoo alone is worth the price of a cut and color! OMG, those hands!!! I could've sat there all day! Anyway, after that he cut a few layers in my hair and blow-dried it. When I walked out of that salon I looked like a Victoria's Secret model! I meet lots of people in my job (realtor) and I have literally gotten compliments on my hair every day since Jason did it! You have a client for life! Pros: I have never gotten so many compliments on my hair!!!! Cons: Absolutely none! more

I'm a lifer for SG!!! 5/18/2009

I went for a few years and because the person who I usually went to was always so booked in advance I decided to go somewhere new. I changed my hair color and went really short. I got to a point where I wanted to red out and they said it could not be done right away and I would have to change gradually over many different visits. I called SG and saw Julie who changed it back in one visit and is alway so fast and sure of what she is doing. I have pretty dark hair and she gets it to the perfect blond every time! I love how she does my hair and will never go anywhere else. Pros: The colorists Cons: They only take cash now!!! more

Best place for hair color 4/19/2009

I drove all the way from Destin, Florida to get my hair done at Studio Gaven! I love Studio Gaven. Dana Funk was the stylist who worked a miracle on my hair. My hair was about 4 different colors from one bad dye job to the next. Dana spent extra time and fixed what I thought would be a hopeless cause. She is amazing as well as all of the staff there. They are professional and the absolute best place I have ever gone to get my hair done. I am willing to drive 7 hrs one way to let them do my hair!!!!! Plus my husband said it is the best it has ever looked. No way will I ever go anywhere else! Pros: All around best place for hair Cons: too far from Florida more

Jason Kennedy is the best! 4/15/2009

Jason Kennedy is fantastic! After having my best friend cut and color my hair for almost ten years, I was unable to get back to Seattle and came to Studio Gaven last week to have my hair cut. WOW! Wow is what I have been telling myself and everyone that has commented on my haircut since I left your salon! Jason Kennedy was not only a fantastic stylist, but also full of compliments and had a wonderful spirit about him. Never have I felt so welcome in a salon and felt so taken care of as I did with Jason. I hope to call Jason my stylist, even though I live up near Washington, DC., I will plan my trips to Nashville accordingly. Pros: Excellent haircut Cons: None more
