Owner Ed and staff keep this little gem of a garage running tip top! One of the best auto repair experiences I've ever had in my 20+ years of driving. One day turn around, beyond friendly service -AND- help! I highly, highly recommend them! more

It's been hard to find a mechanic that I get a good vibe from, but I feel as though Ed and his boys have been very fair with me. Though, it's not like I've spent a small sum of money at the shop. On the contrary, but I do feel at this point that we've caught all the problems with my Cherokee and it's been running great. Don't let the size of the shop or Ed's great Charisma fool you. Nobody's out to get you. These are just a bunch of guys trying to make a living doing what they love. To be quite honest, they've been very accommodating about payment and have allowed me to stay on track with other financial commitments because of that understanding. Good luck finding a perfect mechanic, I'm just glad I found one who is straight forward, upstanding and honest. Thanks Guys!!! more

I went to Studio Automotive with my Chrysler Sebring for a tune-up. My car is always expensive to tune-up because it has an inverted engine with spark plugs underneath and difficult to get to. THANK YOU Studio Automotive for not gouging me and doing a GREAT JOB! more

My transmission was no longer going in reverse and I had to play with it to get it in drive. Studio Automotive fixed it quickly. (1 day to diagnose and get the part and fixed it the next day) more

I ended up a very happy customer. They went above and beyond on what I brought my car in. While it wasn't cheap (but are car repairs ever?) it was very reasonable! I trusted Ed and his team and was not disappointed! Studio Automotive isn't the closest repair shop to where I live, but I will be coming here from now on. more

Studio Automotive Center was so honest and flexible with us. They told us upfront how much things might cost (while not ripping us off!) and were always willing to work around our schedule. They are quick to return phone calls and have even stayed open late for us to pick up our car! Though I never like it when my car needs mechanical attention, these fellas make it well worth it. more

This is a long entry, but I promise it's well worth the time it will save you by reading it instead of wasting your time by taking your car here. If there was a way to give a negative score to this business, I would. After breaking down on the highway, the tow driver recommended I go to Studio Automotive center. Not knowing where else to go and being totally stranded, I trusted his recommendation. Even as I rode in the tow truck to this place, the driver kept saying ""he's going to overcharge you,"" ""that's what he does,"" ""just try to talk him down."" ( I later was told by this driver that he gets his car worked on here for free and that's why he brings people here). Now, my dad's a mechanic, so I figured that if I could get a quote from him, no mechanic would be dumb enough to try to overcharge a girl who knows exactly what she should be charged for. Boy, was I WRONG! The next day I found out what I should have been quoted at for $500, Ed Cremarosa (the owner) tried to charge me at $1200!!! I work at Universal Studios as a stunt performer, but even the oh-so-advertised 15% discount for Studios employees didn't mean squat at that gross over pricing. Be warned: Ed will try to scam his way into getting you to trust him. He will put on the ""good old boy"" face and even try to pull the ""I'm such a good Christian"" card to make you feel safe. My mechanic dad ended up talking to Ed, and asked him if the car started. Ed answered, ""Uh, I don't know, we haven't checked. Let me check on that and call you back"" My father has been in this business for 35 years, he knows that the FIRST THING you do is check to see if the car even starts! After he called him back he wouldn't let my dad get a word in edgewise. He even upped the price to $2000!! That was it. I had my car towed outta there and to a place that I know is trust worthy (Morgan's Auto on Pico Blvd). When I arrived with a tow, Ed made a desperate price drop to $800 (still an overcharge for the service I need). I still took my baby away from this creep. It was then that Ed took off his ""good ol' boy"" mask and I saw up close and personal exactly who he really is: a filthy, dishonest, crooked jerk who wants your money, not to help you. As soon as he knew I was leaving for good, he was an absolute jerk to me. Not making eye contact and still making sure I paid his precious $95 for looking at my car (which is also hefty for a check, a normal rate is closer to $50 even in LA). One final note: The guy who towed me away ( a different guy from the tow before) told me stories of how much he hated Ed. He tows people like me away from there all the time. He told me about a time that Ed tried to charge a girl who needed a $150 repair $900!! He is also infamous for doing faulty work on people who get him into that ""low zone."" I 100% believe that if I would have let him work on my car for $800, he would have either not fixed it properly, or would have messed with something else that would have forced me to come back in. I was very dissappointed as the owner Ed pretends to be a christian and even used that as a basis to get me to trust him. What he didn't know was that I had the car looked at before i let him work on it. He charged me the max and then didn't fix the car. So, once I found that he didn't fix the car...I panicked and put a stop payment on he check as I have been duped before.....he keeps calling and harrassing me after hours and cussed me out saying that he is going to get his money one way or the other...then called me out of my name. Now I am afraid to take my car back to be fixed. A \r \r I drove my car through water and it stopped. I let another shop see my car and they said it was probably the starter, but if it was the engine.....then I would be in trouble. I called the tripple A guy to tow my car to the shop and he asked me what happened, I told him and he said he knows this great mechanic and he towed my car without my being with him. Once Ed called me back, he immediately told me what I told the Tripple A guy and told me it would cost $1200. I don't even thin they looked at my car before installing a damaged engine in my car. Now....the car makes noice the idol is off as the car shakes and the break light , engine, oli lights are on all the time. Before I drove through the water, my car had on issues, but an oil leak.
