Studio 82 Dance & Fitness

I have been a member of studio 82 for over 20 years. Not only did my 2 girls dance there, but i have worked out in their fabulous fitness classes for years. There are no other programs in the area that compare. The instructors are so well educated as well as having a passion for what they do. It has made so many families stay there for years. I have seen former students return with their children. They are continually adding new exciting classes and staff members. It is not your typical dance studio. I guess that is why they have been around so long and remained so well liked. more

I have two daughters that have been dancing at Studio 82 for the past eight years. I couldn't be happier...and neither could my girls. The quality of staff at this studio does not begin to compare to others in the area. And although it may not be the cheapest, I truly believe you get what you pay for. The atmosphere is anything but competitive...it truly feels like home away from home not only for my girls, but for me too. It is truly a ""family"" place. The recitals are proof that what they are doing is working. They are creating talented, passionate young dancers and I am proud to be a part of what they have going on! more

My daughter has been dancing at Studio 82 for 10 years. She loves her classes and instructors. Overall she has had an excellent experience at Studio 82. The quality of the dance instruction is excellent. And there is alot of positive focus on developing, not only dance skills, but positive self-esteem. The yearly dance recitals are entertaining and very professional. There is a competitive dance team and at elite dance team that challenge the girls to improve. Studio 82 is one of the most unwelcoming environments. Not only is the entire studio centered around their dance group, ""Jazz Energy"", making it hard for girls to actually CHOOSE what classes they WANT to take, but it is extremely catty. I would not recommend that you send your children here. Dancing should be about exercise and fun, not politics (which you will find this studio is full of). Save yourself the money and your kids the trouble, and go to one of the many other dance studios available. Pros: the teachers are very nice and talented Cons: everything else more

As a mom of 3 girls, we have tried almost every dance studio in the area and were drawn to Studio 82 only because they employ a very popular Hip-Hop instructor. The only problem is that he only teaches one night a week. His class is so popular it draws students from all over and Studio 82 does NOT keep the class size small. They keep accepting new students all year and the class is crowded; sometimes over 30 in a class. The studio is very popular in the Strongsville area and one of the most expensive too. The studio has a very steep staircase which can be very dangerous for small children and pregnant moms; however, at the top of the staircase they have a lovely playroom for the little ones. My oldest daughter did not care for the studio mainly because of class size and was not very impressed with the overall quality of dance instruction in other classes offered there. This is another one of those studios where you will be paying top dollar and your child could wind up in a class with a teenage ""student"" teacher.
