Studio 524

Looking for a great salon? Go to Studio 524! Collette cuts my hair and Steve colors it. Last time Steve colored it, it wasn't ""exactly"" what I wanted. Most colorist I've been to before get offended or will say ""I did what you said"". Not Steve. He wanted it perfect and exactly what I wanted. He redid it at no charge and gave me exactly what I wanted :) Collette tells me when the cut I want ""can't"" be done with my hair, instead of just doing it anyway and me being disappointed. They're both great, friendly and good :) more

All stylists are great and the owners--Steve & Colette--are super-talented, attentive and honest businesspeople. I've been going to both of them for several years now. Their knack for helping select the right color, even when I can't effectively explain what I'm looking for, is always on the mark. And they won't try to sell you on something just to make a buck. For example, I was headed out on vacation and definitely due for a complete color. But Colette recommended that I NOT spend the money before I headed to the beach because it would bleach out with all the sun--and instead touched up my roots beautifully, holding me over for a few weeks until after I returned. Steve does an awesome job as well. He's a certified trainer and he leads classes in color/styling for new and experienced stylists throughout the Midwest. You are in good hands at Studio 524, that's for sure. As other posters have mentioned, it's also nice that the salon is located in Old Town St. Charles. I live in the area but travel frequently for work, so it's always nice to have a reason to visit a special part of my community that I don't get to visit that often. more

Colette Edwards has been my stylist since 1988! She is one of the best colorists I have ever had. I highly recommend her if you would like to try a new style or color. Steve Edwards is also great. He has done my hair on occasion and has even given me hair extensions. Try that if you really want a change! The salon is in the historic Main Street section of St. Charles. The ambiance of the salon make for a great experience. Not only do I use Studio 524, but my husband, son and daughter are also clients. It's a great place for everyone! more

I have been going to Colette Edwards as my hair stylists for over 10 years and I would not go to any one else. If I am unsure on a particular cut or color, I know I can trust her judgment to do what will look best with my color and skin tone. I feel totally comfortable with all of her suggestions and I would definitely recommend her. Studio 524 has a very inviting atmosphere where you will receive great customer service. They have been cutting, coloring, and styling mine and my husband's hair for many years and we won't go anywhere else - in fact we travel over 30 miles for their service.
