Studio 180 Salon

I still go to Studio 180 with Anna and gang and continue to adore everyone there! Service is great and it's always fun to hang out with these gals! Anna knows that I love my hair! more

I moved here from Virginia Beach. My hair is fairly dark but I have blonde highlights. I tried several salons in the area and they just could not do what my hairdresser from Va Bch could until I met Anna at Studio 180. I went in for a consultation after sending a desperate email to her (my wedding was less than a year away and I did not want red highlights!) and showed Anna pictures - she was confident that we could achieve the color that I had before so I set up an appt - and let me just say - she got it right - the FIRST time! Her cuts are excellent also - even better than the cut I had from Va Bch. Don't let the fact that a lot of Anna's customers do not post reviews deter you - she has a lot of satisfied clients (that have been going to her for years) - I've met many of them. Anna did my wedding hair do also - I've never had so many compliments and from men even - on how great my hair looked that day! This is an excellent salon - you will not be disappointed. more

Really can't say enough good things about this salon. I have loads of curly thick hair that I used to dread having someone cut as 9 times out of 10 they used to mess it up big time. I moved here and found Studio 180 and can't be happier with Fran and the time she takes to make sure my color and cut are spot on. The days of wearing a hat to calm my thick and crazy hair are gone thanks to my great cut and fab color. more

There are very few hair salon's in the Triangle that offer the type of service and atmosphere that you will find in larger metropolitan areas (Miami, LA, Chi.) with a "down home" feel. In fact, this is the only one! It's a smaller, upscale boutique salon with just the perfect charm. Looking for a stylist? Look no further. All of my friends have raved about the owner, Anna Smith, for years and it is clearly evident that she is head and shoulders above the rest. All of this in addition to Studio 180's website (which I also suggest visiting as one of the best) makes for an unusually pleasant treat. Have a glass of wine and relax. I first went to Studio 180 Salon earlier this year for a thermal straightening process and have since switched to them for color and cut, too. My hair is difficult to manage because it is naturally kinky/curly and coarse, and I'm also completely gray (even though I'm not old enough to be gray!). Before I went to Studio 180 for the thermal straightening process, I had been relaxing my hair at home - but I still spent about 45 minutes every morning blowing it dry and ironing it straight. And if the weather was humid, the results only lasted until I went outside. Francesca at Studio 180 did the thermal straightening process on both my hair and my teenage daughter's, and the results were amazing! My hair is straight, soft, shiny and healthier looking than it ever has been. And this summer, I've had NO FRIZZ - not even when I was at the beach! Even better, my styling time has been cut to about 15 minutes, and my hair keeps the style until my next shampoo. I also had been unhappy with my hair color for a number of years. Anna reformulated my color, and it looks beautiful! She also gave me a new cut in an updated style. I get so many compliments on my hair now. I highly recommend this salon! more
