DJ and his wife, bent over backwards to make sure that we have a good experience. We found this studio online, when looking for rehearsal space for South African singer Simphiwe Dana, who performed at Essence 2013.\r \r The room was large and comfortable, and well equipped. Like I said DJ and his wife gave us complete Southern Hospitality. They made sure that we were satisfied and provided us with a nice array of snacks and drinks, and the homemade lemonade was THE BOMB. \r \r Its great when you discover little gems like Studio 101 NOLA, they made the South Africans and Yankees, feel right at home. And, I know this is our new rehearsal home whenever we are in Nawlins! more

This is a great place to rehearse! DJ and his staff were very helpful and friendly...helped us load in, set up, plug in and get to playing really quickly. Firstly, there is secure off-street parking next to the loading dock. They've got nice amps to play through, a nice PA, fat drum kit, congas, music stands, guitar stands, a sweet yamaha digial piano, plus lots of other toys for makin noise! There's a comfy couch in the big room if you want to have friends over. The rates are super reasonable too. It was an all-round great experience, and I'd recommend this place to anyone who needs a reheasal space. They've got a couple different size rooms to meet your needs. We'll definitely be coming back. more

  • Recognizing a dearth of music rehearsal facilities in post-Katrina New Orleans, DJ Boudreaux launched Studio 101 NOLA in 2008 to provide an affordable 24- hour access practice space in the heart of the Crescent City. Since its inception, Studio 101 NOLA has hosted bands as diverse as Future Leaders of the World, the Joyful spirit of New Orleans 9th Ward Choir, and we're also home to long time residents like Big Fat & Delicious, Generationals, & Endall.

    Studio 101 NOLA is the creation-in-progress of DJ Boudreaux, a Louisiana native who has spent the last 15 years working in various aspects of the music industry. From recording local musicians and rappers to rigging and doing audio for the biggest festivals and bands in the US, he's been firmly rooted in his commitment to help facilitate the creative endeavors of musicians.
