"Hoo" Wouldn't Love it? They Have Everything! 12/16/2005

The Student Book Store, in addition to every UVA-related accessory and accoutrement (baby-size cheerleader outfits, anyone?) offers a huge selection of textbooks at very competitive pricing. Definitely worth a visit to any student on a budget (is there any other kind) - new or recent editions are priced 15% to 40% below list and related materials such as DVDs or CD-ROMs are often still included (if applicable). Also featured is a large inventory of dorm and apartment necessities, such as glassware, decor, and novelties. It's practically a UVA department store! more

Better than UVa's official bookstore 8/17/2005

This place offers a different experience than the official bookstore. It's a lot older, which makes it fit right into the Corner area. But talk of buying cheaper books here is silly. I have found that you can save a little money by shopping here, but you are just as likely to spend a little more. My advice? Buy your textbooks through Amazon. Much much cheaper. more
