Stu Braks has loved drawing and art since childhood. Two of his biggest influences were Mort Drucker and Norman Rockwell, and he's always been a fan of western art. Stu began feeling the beat at an early age too, heavily influenced by drummers like Ringo Starr and Hal Blaine. These days Stu's favorite drummer is Tre Cool; and he will listen to anything with Jim Keltner in the credits. For Stu, the connection between drumming and Native American culture came about largely from the excellent book ''Sacred Drumming'' by Steven Ash (available at StuARTdrums, by the way). Stu began painting in acrylics several years ago. His combined interests in art, drumming, and Native American culture has resulted in StuARTdrums.
