Went back on his word!. Before we met for the first time I waited an hour. He was recommended to me so I assumed he was very popular and busy so I waited for the appointment. I appreciated his dialogue once we met and accepted his recommendation for new meds. On the second appointment I was 10 minutes late and he abruptly screamed at me in front of another patient ""you have 30 days!"" His reason was that I came late and used some lame excuse that he did not think our personalities would match. Any true professional will set personality differences aside and focus fully on client-centered recovery. He was so mad, and I tried to call, but there phones were closed.\r \r We agreed that he would fill the new meds 30 days, and he referred me to a new DR. Not only was his referral unavailable for new patients, he discontinued ALL of my meds, new and old, and I was left scrambling to have my internal doctor fill the prescriptions for me. I will be visiting Dr. Malik on Ballas Road now instead. more

If all you want is to describe your mental affliction and get a prescription and a nudge out the door, by all means go to this guy. He just doesn't care about people, at all. There are compassionate doctors out there, in the same building even, so don't waste your time or money for pills the probably won't actually help you anyway since he doesn't seem to put any effort into a diagnosis. The worst part is when you're just told by some poor secretary that he doesn't want to see you anymore, and no reason is given. You can't do that to patients of yours who have depression, much less more debilitating illnesses. This man is a potential danger. Avoid.
