Mr Strample has fixed a number of yard machines for me - mowers, trimmer, tiller, etc over the years. I've found him honest and competent, with the work done right and at a very fair price. The only drawback is that he can sometimes take several weeks to get a job done if he has to source parts. I've recommended him to friends and neighbors, and would not hesitate to take balky equipment to him to be fixed. Pros: Does good work at fair price Cons: can take some time more

On July 3rd 2009 I ordered some parts for a chain saw from Mr. Strample. He warned that it may take some time - several months passed and several calls later I gave up and asked him to return the check I'd sent which he insisted I do before he'd order the parts. He said he'd get it out the end of the week. After some travel over the next 4-5 weeks I called to ask where my check was; he said he'd return my money as soon as his distributor returned his. After 27 years of running my own company I can say I'd never have treated a customer this way; my beef with the distributor would not be my customer's problem. Neefless to say today on November 9th I still haven't gotten my money and frankly think I never will. Just a warning to anyone who chooses to do business with this firm - keep your pocket closed until they deliver. Cons: Does not do as promised more
