CT's worst kitchen remodeler 12/19/2011

Absolutely dreadful experience. If giving negative stars was an option, I would make it. As the other reviewer said, their whole process was horrible. It was slow, They told us one thing, and then went back on that. They were quick to rip out our kitchen, and took forever to install our new one, making plenty of excuses on the way. The original person, who we actually liked, that we were dealing with, left for some reason, I believe it to be money related. I believe the money thing is the root of all of their problems. At another point during the installation, I had to call ""their"" electrician to come complete the project he had started. He informed me he wasn't able to come due to Stowe owing him money. We ended up finally bringing this project to an end by Stowe hiring an outside contractor to come finish what they needed to be complete. He was, by far, the most capable carpenter that had showed up to do work. He completed all of the stuff I had been waiting on for months quickly and very accurately. I am willing to bet that they owe him more money than he could possibly afford to lose, and no longer does work for them. I live nearby to their location and saw a for sale sign in front if their property recently. That is good news for everybody. I hope their is not a bigger tell that, that they are on there way out, and not to give them 1 cent. Overall our kitchen turned out nice. Although: We did not get what I had originally paid for. We were without a kitchen for close to 6 months. We got(later found out) extremely cheap cabinets compared to what we paid for the entire project, we figure somewhere around $8000 of our total $50,000+ went towards material. The rest was labor and markup... a lot of mark up. If anybody has any other questions, or would like the name of a very good(IMO and others) kitchen company, feel free to email me at heliflyguy23@gmail more
