I made reservations a week in advance for a holiday dinner with friends. When we all arrived we found the restaurant was closed. There was no one in the joint and no sign on the door. When we called an answering machine picked up and told us Stoudemire's would only be open for lunch the week we had made reservations. We never received a call and it was not even posted on the door. Stay away even if you have reservations you may not get in! more

Don't waste your time and money 3/19/2008

Went there on a game day (saturday night) the kitchen was closed so we couldn't eat (it was 8:30) There was nobody in the place so we got a great table by the bar. We left to grab something to eat at the hard Rock cafe since the kitchen was closed. Came back a few minuted before 10:30 just to have to bouncer hold us back (til 10:30) so we would have to pay the $10 cover charge. All tables were ""reserved"" by this time and the place was pretty busy, however, all the paying patrons were not allowed to sit down anywhere since all the tables were reserved. RIDICULOUS!! The servers were very slow and everything there was overpriced. I recommend the smith bar or marjle's instead of this overrated, overpriced joke! Pros: its a nice more

Stoudemire is Great - his restaurant isn't. 2/11/2008

We decided to before a Suns game and were surprised that there were only a few couples waiting in the loby for tables. Beware: if you are only a party of 2 they will only seat you at tables for 2. If you are 3 or more you can get in right away. We had to wait 20 mins for a table but 5-8 larger tables remained empty. The food is nothing to make a special trip for. Heck, I'd go next door to Hard Rock Cafe they have a larger selection and better food. The menu was an ""Event"" menu but they only had a few appitizers, a couple of salads, a burger, pasta and steak. I got the prime rib french dip (average) my husband had the burger (okay) they do have sweet potato fries which scored a few points with me but if we go out before games we'll stick to Cooper's Town. Pros: Close to Sports Arenas and Downtown Cons: Horrible Hostesses and rude manager more
