I bought my prom dress this afternoon at Storybook Weddings and Proms. They were having a sale where every prom dress was $99. It was a great deal because the dresses are all designer and high quality. There were a lot of other people there trying on dresses, but surprisingly, the two people working there were very friendly and helpful and helped me eventually decide which dress. The atmosphere was very relaxed and no one pressures you to buy (but why not when the deal is so great!) My mom was with me to help me into the dresses, but they offered to lace the back up for me too. Overall the service was great! They have also supported local schools in yearbook and prom donations. And to top it all off, I really enjoyed the dress bag they provided! It is personalized with their logo on it. I know it's a trivial thing, but it was one of my favorite things. Like the icing on the cake! more

I made an appointment to try on wedding dresses. I brought 2 of my friends with me. We walked in and took off our shoes. We were greeted shortly after and I told the girl that I had an appointment. She said ok, and told me that I could look at dresses and pick out a few and she would come back to grab them. So we browsed the dresses and picked out a few that we liked. She took them to the room (which looked like a storage room as it had several mannequins in it) and asked me if I needed a strapless bra. I told her I did and she got the size I asked for (which i accidentally told her the wrong size) and told me to let her know if I needed any help lacing up the dresses. Well after realizing that the bra did not fit I walked out of the room and looked around for her. I didn't see her til a few minutes later when I realized she was helping another bride. I sort of stood around awkwardly for a few minutes to see if she would check on me. She didn't so I went to ask her to get the right size. Then I had my friends help me put the dresses on seeing as she seemed too busy. I walked out and had to wait to use one of the 2 mirrors they have. I tried on a few dresses like this and then the girl finally came and talked to me for a bit. I told her what I liked and didn't like about the dress I had on. Then she brought me a dress that had more of the things I liked, so I tried it on. When I came back out I was looking in the mirror and not really loving it, and she came up and was like ""don't you just love it?"" I wanted to say ""no, and if you'd actually been paying attention at all you would know that"" i said what i liked and didn't like and she walked away again. I then changed back into my street clothes and walked out without saying anything. I walked right by the ""consultant"" and she didn't even notice. I'm sorry if I sound like a diva, but I expect that if I make an appointment that I should have someone to help me. I would have understood that type of treatment if I had just walked in. But it really pissed me off that I had went through the effort of setting up the appointment and I barely got any service. more

Storybook wedding is nothing more then a lady playing dress up and messing with other peoples precious moments! Half the bridal party received the wrong dresses or the wrong size. The tags in the dress were hand written after the original size being scratched out. They told me this ""mistake"" was normal and that it happens often, but that was all they could do. The lady told me to ""just be happy with what I got"" and that she had other people waiting. I am now paying double what the dress cost to get it fixed the best way possible in fear of mailing it back. I deeply hope and pray nobody puts their life moments in the disastrous hands of storybook wedding! (I tried to put no stars at all but the review wouldn't let me) more

I came into Storybook looking around to see if there was any dresses that I liked. I found several that I loved but as I was looking Vickie the owner told me that because she was the staff there at the time that I should make an actual appointment with her. THIS IS NORMAL! Unless you go to a mega bridal store like David's you need to make an appointment to get that one on one service. Do you ever see walk ins on ""Say Yes To The Dress""... oh, no..(sorry but the reviewers before me seem to not know this about the buying most important dress of your life). Anyway, so she told me to look around, take my time, and get some ideas. I did look around, then I made an appointment. When I came back I tried on a lot of dresses. I found one that I thought was the one, signed on the dotted line and made a time for a fitting as I wanted to sleep on it. Low and behold I found another dress by Casablanca Bridal that I fell in love with. And even though I signed a contract for another dress Vickie let me buy the other dress. You would only get this kind of service in a small town. I am so happy that I got the dress of my dreams. Can't say enough about this story, call and make an appointment, and see for yourself. I had a great luck at Storybook Weddings! The gals that worked there were super friendly and my family / friends and I had a lot of fun both times I tried on gowns. (I found my dress the second time.) Pros: great prices and great service more

My two sisters and I walked into this shop after driving 20 minutes to get there only to be ignored. We were looking at brides maid dresses for my oldest sisters wedding. When we walked in the door, we took off our shoes like the sign asked. We walked in and there was a bride being fitted, with one worker helping here, while another one was walking around. We walked straight past both of them and tried to make eye contact while they both turned their heads and ignored us. Never ONCE did anyone say hi or anything! this is a horrible place, if you want business you need to have good customer service and they do not by any means! We left after 5 minutes of being there because we were disgusted. Pros: NONE!! Cons: Everything! more

I went here to look for wedding gowns and was treated very special. I received wonderful customer service both times I was in here and both women also gave me great advice on finding the dress that was ""The One"". I ended up not purchasing my gown at this shop because I found what I was looking for elsewhere, but I would definitely recommend this place to others based on the amount of time spent here. It was a great shop with amazing dresses (reasonably priced!). more

My family and I go to a lot of formal dinners and I have always had good luck finding nice dresses at Bridal Salons. My boyfriend and I went in to Storybook to look at some dresses. There were about 2 people working and one bride trying on her dress. We took off our shoes and started to look around. We asked for some help and they just ignored us, and we could not get any help. So we decided that we would leave since we weren't being helped at all. As we were getting our shoes on, another couple walked in and immediately got helped. My boyfriend and I looked at each other like, what the heck, why didn't they help us like that! So I won't be back there to buy anything, since apparently we were not good enough to even been given the time of day. I would recommend that you don't even waste your time going there. Instead we went to David's Bridal, and got excellent service, even though they had a million people in there. Pros: There were none Cons: Horrible Service, not many dresses more

The first service was great but after my first purchase (my dress) everything went down hill, they did not keep track of what I owed and It was very confusing. Everything was all mixed up and a real added stress where there did not need to be one. I really do NOT recommend this shop for your wedding, It was a horrible experience for me Pros: Not really any Cons: Bad at keeping track of money more

Worst service I've ever had: This company was aweful. I ordered all of my wedding things through them august of '05 and it is 2008 and still not worked out. The tuxes did not come in until the day of the wedding and they were ripped and stained. The tux shoes were lost and none of them matched or were what we payed for. They charged 50% for all there merchandise and then have you pay the other 50% when it comes in but don't tell you that on your initial purchase. They yelled at my bridesmaid that I owed money, but never told me, and when I asked they could not give me an exact amount of what I owed. The workers were highschool girls who had no clue what was going on. We made appointments for fitting tuxes three days before the wedding (as was advised by them) yet the tuxes were not in. We were constantly ignored even though we made appointments. HORRIBLE customer service. DO NOT SHOP HERE. It will ruin your wedding day, trust me. It did mine. Pros: The dresses were pretty Cons: Did not get what I ordered in until the morning of the wedding and still wasn't right more
