A really special place 11/2/2003

My boyfriend and I drove up here on a sunny fall day, not really knowing what to expect. We ended up having the most amazing time walking around and enjoying the sculptures, the mountain views, and the endless rolling hills littered with works of art. This is one of the coolest places I've been - you can just wander around for an hour or two, or make it a full day trip complete with a picnic. Even if you're not into sculpture, it's definitely worth going to, just to hang out in a drop-dead gorgeous setting. Pros: really unique, gorgeous views, impressive collection more

Best driving destination 4/4/2003

It was a beautiful drive in the fall. the permanent collection is wonderful, and the exhibit of Calders was amazing! Pros: Inexpensive, good parking, not crowded more

ART+NATURE=AWESOME 8/23/2002

For an unforgettable escape from the city Storm King should be #1 on your list. Where else can you find world class sculpture placed on grassy knolls, amid wooded glens, and next to reflective ponds? (Think MOMA meets Central Park) Take a picnic lunch and a camera, you're in for a great day. Pros: totally unique, awe inspiring, generally uncrowded more
