We had the upstairs renovated in the house we bought this summer and had a master closet built. We decided to get a 'closet system' to go in it, and chose Storables based on a combination of price and quality. They are approximately 1/2 what California Closets charge. They offer free planning assistance as well, which is pretty generous, considering it took about 3 hours to chart everything out and get it ordered. Basically, you measure the closet, take that to Storables, and a closet planner (ours was Richard who was just awesome!) will help you design a system that works for you. It took about 10 days to get our materials. Then you have to install it yourself. This isn't very difficult, but it is time consuming (it took us about 5 hours to get the whole thing done). So basically, if you are willing to do some work yourself, you can save 50%. Look on their website www.storables.com to get an example of the materials available. We are very pleased with the look and function of the closet we created. Good Luck!
