This facility is very nicely kept. The staff is friendly and super helpful. Always pleasant to speak with. The prices are competitive and it's super close to the freeway exit. They have a three month special that is about 50% off from their regular price so we are taking advantage if this special. What's best is that although it is three months, you aren't held to keeping the unit for the entire time since they are month to month storage. This works perfectly for us!! Yay! Places like this with their ease of access, friendly staff, and convenience really do make like a lot easier!!! more

Many of my friends store there things here and I decided to finally put many pieces of furniture many boxes of books and other items that are important to me into storage again as I have had no room for these things after I moved a few years ago. I was reluctant to put my things into storage, just not sure they would be safe and sound\r but Payless has been great. My things are safe and clean and there is no dust at all,\r my unit is an 'indoor' unit on the second floor.\r \r Payless is really a great old fashioned customer service oriented business. Everyone there has been extremely friendly, informative, and very nice and professional. The storage unit seems to be quite new and wonderfully clean. The halls have so much lighting that you can light up every hallways very brightly as well as the units. There are camera's in the hallways and I can see that security there is a priority. \r \r I have been back four times to get a few things and bring a few more things\r and it is a breeze to get to, its CLEAN!! and safe- so I am happy to let people know this.\r Nice that there are still places that have the feeling of being very Professional and organized and a place that feels like the people actually care about their customers. more

I have had my things in storage for over six years at Payless Storage. The location is easy to get to, very safe and clean. The staff has always been very nice and friendly. When I was ready to clean out my storage unit, the manager Shale could not have been more gracious or accommodating. If in the future I need storage I will use Payless again. It feels so good to know the things you've stored are in a clean well lighted safe place. more

Honestly, I am a very picky professional who does my major research about\r everything. I have many many storage units at Payless which are filled with\r everything important to me including heirlooms and furniture from my parents\r and grandparents. There are places still left that are tried and true business's with\r integrity and I can say for sure that Payless is one of them. This is a family owned\r business and the difference is obvious. They care, they go out of their way to do \r anything and everything they can to help.Units are clean, well lit and easy to get to. These people help with moving, to treating\r you with respect and guess what - they actually really do care. I don't 'yelp'\r much at all except when I find a place that deserves to be known as great.\r Thank you all employees at Payless. more

I used to live down the street from this place some years ago, and one day the unthinkable happened: our house caught fire.\r \r While the fire itself was put out pretty quickly, the house was filled with so much smoke that we had to move. We were renting the property, and I'm not sure what was going through the landlords' minds but it was definitely not a great experience. We had less than two days to get everything out of the house that we wanted or needed to save. You never realize how much stuff you have until you have to move it, and boy was that us.\r \r We went to Payless Self Storage in order to just quickly get the things out of there -- if we had them in a storage we could at least go through them. My brother in law went to get the storage, he had one from them previously so he was already in their system. When the manager heard my brother-in-law explaining the situation to the office lady he immediately intervened. Said that he would give us an exclusive deal because our priorities should be on finding a place to live now, and not worrying about how much storage costs. It was an amazing move that we honestly did not expect. Unfortunately, we had to go and get another storage. We didn't expect to get the same deal, we understand that business is business. \r \r But business didn't stop him from giving us the same deal again for a second storage. When you've just lost everything, and you don't know what you're going to do with your pets, your things, or your family these small acts of kindness really mean the most to you. The next few months for us were hectic, and when the time came that we could get all of what we saved from the fire out of the storage units, we did. I can honestly never thank him enough for what he did. Even thinking about it now makes me tear up.\r \r Now I find myself needing a small storage, I'll be knocking on your door here soon. This place has my business as long as I still live here more

This has been a great place to store my household goods and other things. I got a unit upstairs where the unit is insulated and away from the exterior elements such as rain and dust that you would otherwise get with an exterior, drive-up-to, unit.\r \r All of the employees have always been very friendly and helpful. They give a free circular lock that you keep with two keys (they do not keep a key), and for moving my things into the locker, they offered a free moving truck with 25 free miles. I moved from San Francisco so I stayed under the 25 miles.\r \r I also liked the 3 month special which was $70/month for a 10' x 10' locker, which is amazing for the Bay Area! Today I pay the regular price of $159/mo but it has been worth it considering the unit is insulated; I feel it is secure with the security cameras; and it is just 3 minutes from where I work. Moving carts abound throughout the facility and there is an elevator to the second floor to access my unit.\r \r The location is right off of Hwy 580 and Canal Blvd and is easily accessible. They also have extended hours which make it easy to access my things whenever they are needed.\r \r I have been happy keeping my things safe and secure at this storage facility. You will, too. If you do choose to try them out, ask for an insulated unit upstairs. It doesn't cost you extra. If you want a climate controlled unit upstairs, however, that will cost you extra.\r \r Peace of mind that your things are safe and secure, a friendly staff, easily accessible...this storage facility is a gem in the Bay Area. more

I'm in the book business, 33 years now. I've used many many different storage places, dozens all over the Bay Area. But about 15 years ago I discovered Payless, and I've never looked back! I've rented many units there, big spaces, little spaces, and just rented two units there this week, they really are the best around for price, quality and service. And if you actually go around to the other typical places you'll quickly understand that many storage operations are dirty, poorly lit, unsafe, friendly when you are renting, and unfriendly soon as you have signed up and moved in!\r \r But besides being a a great operation, they also have something that is unique I think, an on-site mover guy, Dave Franks, who has helped me for most of the last 15 years, (call first to arrange), a good guy for sure, not the cheapest but he is a pro, has all the moving equipment, and works hard and fast more

I had all my treasured possessions here for almost three years and recommend them highly. The staff were always helpful, the place is easy to access and even living on the other side of the country I felt that my belongings were safe, warm, dry. I would absolutely go back if I needed storage again. more

It's a clean facility with nice people working in the office. No complaints they take care of business and work with your budget. I have used them for almost a year now and see myself using this facility for a while. I do recommend. more

I don't actually store any of my stuff at Payless Storage, but my BFFL does and I helped her move all her stuff into a storage unit. The people who work there are very friendly and always offered us bottled water when we were there. Really great people and the storage units are nice and clean. They also offer camera security and rolling carts. I think they also offer you the use of a moving truck for free. more

I don't think it can get much better than this. 100% solar powered, friendly and very helpful service and all that for less price than other places. They even include a nice lock in the price, you don't pay x-tra. more
