LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Stonehorse Market!!! 6/4/2011

Everything is made in-house with REAL ingredients; you can actually pronounce everything on the labels : ) ....And everything is YUMMY! Great selection of quality cheeses, jams, take-home entrees, etc. Cute packaging as well, so their goodies make wonderful gifts. Did I mention the Ice Cream? And Sorbet??? Well, it's fabulous. All of it. Nothing better than homemade ice cream! Last but certainly not least...The Granola. Yes, I meant to capitalize those letters. Stonehorse perfected ""The Granola"". My mother-in-law is now hooked on it & I am to blame : ) Check out Stonehorse Market in Utica Square today! It's right next to Stonehorse Cafe...Enjoy! more

I got burned, along with my food. 1/11/2011

We ordered $70 ribeye steak ""medium rare"", and 1 hour later received a ""well done"" piece of meat (not even the slightest bit pink in any part). They admitted their error and returned 45 minutes later with a ""medium-well"" done ribeye (very slightly pink at the very center, but the rest was ""well done""). This time they would not accept that they had overcooked it AGAIN. Instead they stood there and literally served the meat to me, from the platter to my plate, dropping the vegetables that topped the steak onto the table along the way, remarking how good it looked this time. Despite me telling the waitress the second steak was overdone, AGAIN, she insisted it had been cooked to temperature - as she stared at a charred, grey, $70 piece of meat. To be fair, they ""comped"" bread pudding dessert. But it wasn't $70 worth of bread pudding right? 2 and 1/2 hours for that. Would you ever go back? more

Can't find anything better- and I've tried ten different countries! 1/7/2009

Clearly, from the ratings below, you can see Stonehorse Cafe has excelled on all levels... except for whoever gave it 1 star- because I have eaten there at least 3 times a week for 5 years and have never been disappointed. Every walk of life will find something fresh, made from scratch, and just for their liking. The menu changes daily... don't like anything on the menu?? Just ask! Stonehorse aims to please and has the talent to accomodate special orders even at their busiest rush. Tim Inman made this place unique from the very beginning, hand selecting local produce companies, choosing organic beef, and promising the most exclusive wine list anywhere in Oklahoma. Some personal favorites: the Stonehorse Blue Salad, the house cured salmon lox, the ""truckstop meatloaf"" and the beef tenderloin. Stonehorse even found a way to make beets taste good!! A++ more

Run Like Hell 12/26/2008

Don't come here. They told us to come back in 15 minutes when they would have a table for us. The place was packed so we weren't going to stand in the doorway. We went next door to shop, and when we came back exactly 15 minutes later, we were given the run around. They had no clue what had happened to our table, then admitted that they had just given it away. However, we could see open tables that they were supposedly reserving for other people (people that, while the tables were open for, they were not present to occupy) that hadn't arrived yet - they would not give us one of these tables. more

Best hamburger in Tulsa and London. 10/11/2008

I just returned from staying at The Stafford Hotel in London. The Stafford is touted as having the best hamburger in London and I love great hamburgers (actually, I am somewhat of a hamburger expert). The whole truth and nothing but the truth is that The Stafford's hamburger (#19) is not as good as the hamburger served daily at Stonehorse. So save a long trip and have yourself a Tim Inman hamburger (about $8 bucks) the next time you are at Utica Square in Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA. more

Never fails! 6/16/2008

Oh my! We had another great meal at Stonehorse Cafe this weekend -- Chef Inman never disappoints. My mother and I shared the steak tartar for starters; my husband had the ""Blue"" salad (did you know you can get a 1/2 order of a salad?); both were wonderful. The pate is also tasty -- definitely an appetizer to share. Pros: Food, Ambience more

Best Food in T-Town! 9/12/2007

Having eaten at Stonehorse since they first opened, the food just gets better and better. Having worked at this restaurant yrs. ago, I know they use high quality ingredients & Chef Inman always creates delicious dishes! Having moved away from the Tulsa area a few yrs. ago, I always make sure to visit Stonehorse to get my fix! I love taking Tulsa newbies to Stonehorse to promote the city's wonderful restaurant fare, making sure to add that I think it's the best ""nice"" restaurant in town. It's a nice atmosphere w/o trying too hard. People complain that the service can be slow, but I know that means they're making my meal for me right then instead of earlier in the day & reheating it. Yes, there is prep early in the day, but for the most part, everything is cooked fresh to be served fresh. The wine list is great & I've never had anything from the menu that I didn't love. The Thai chicken salad w/ pnut sauce & pistachio-crusted halibut w/ rock shrimp, leeks, white wine & a touch of cream stay favorites every time! The Vietnamese noodle bowl is also fabulous. Chef Inman even turned me into a mussel lover after his staff forced me to try his after I protested that mussels were icky. If you're craving comfort food, try the truckstop meatloaf. & Yes, you will have leftovers! Pros: Fresh, High-Quality Ingredients; Family-Like Staff; Great Wine List Cons: There's Only 1 Location :( more

Honest food with the BEST ingredients 10/29/2006

Eating here is so much fun. Very earthy menu, and the best ingredients you can find in the area. Chef Tim has a retail outlet around back where they sell the very same wonderful seafood, meats, poultry, cheese and in-house made treats (try the goat cheese terrine!!) which he uses in the dining room. Pros: Honest treatment of great ingredients Cons: Not inexpensive more

Best Tulsa Restaurant 9/5/2006

Never had anything that wasn't incredible. As a local I have eaten at every place in town. If you want to go somewhere special and know you will have something spectaular, this is the place. more

Always a great meal 3/23/2005

I've been to Stonehorse several times and always love the food. The bacon and goat cheese salad is fantastic. I've never been disappointed with the entrees. The service can be slow but overall - definitely worth the trip. I think it's one of the better places in Tulsa. Pros: good wine list Cons: slow service more
