""Still"" in Servere Pain 5/2/2011

Dont even deserve a rating! I went to them for over ""6"" mt. and each time was an awful experience. (To long to explain). Looking for a new PM now and exteamly cousious.\r My last conversation was with Stacy,(I dont know what she does) stated that maybe I should find a new doctor because I ""CALLed"" more the 20 time, (was 42 hr before returning ""MY"" call, more then once)\r Would not change my presription ""NOT AT ALL""(even if elergic) and Med,D would not cover more then 30 days, but Doc, just had to change to a different kind, "" NOT AT ALL' \r When the time came to refill my meds, it only cost me $116.62. ( for what I am elergic too.)\r On March 17, 2011 \r I was scheduled for a ""Neurostimulator""\r After 3 unseccessful Lumbar Sym. Blocks\r April 19,2011, had to see a Srink FIRST,\r April 28, 2011, Appt. for Placement. \r But ""Wait"", The ""Trial"" Neurostimulator would be temp until May 6 (for a week) and Removed, until \r (while Doc goes on Vacation) This is the REAL TRUTH \r June 2, 2011. (then be permenetly installed) \r On April 25, Stacy called (3 days) before Neuro, trial installation, saying, there is ""NO"" such date on their Books for this procedure.\r I told her I had Hard copies of All ""DATES"", but I still was not getting the Neuro installed.\r Still in PAIN and waiting for Referral to clear before another appt will be made with a Dr. Witt / P,M. in Lex. \r I hope he will be better? I dont trust anyone anymore with my Back pain and R.S.D. more

Would not go back. 10/21/2008

Be prepared to be treated as a criminal, pushed along like cattle and have concerns ignored. I went here once and never went back. I needed an edipdural and, while it did work, the overall experience was terrible. Receptionist spoke on her cell phone while ignoring me, the only person at the check in station. I was immediatley photographed, like a mug shot I guess, and it felt offensive. I was also given a 20 some odd page 'rule book' about all of thier policies about being late/missing appointments and alot of other things that did not apply to me, such as legal convictions, prescriptions, urine tests, etc. \r The friend who drove me was told I'd be back in an hour, it was 2 hours and they never once went to tell him of the delay.\r My first ever procedure of this nature and the staff did nothing to ease my anxiety, they didn't seem to care. Wanted me to sign permission BEFORE speaking to the actual doctor performing it. Phlebotomist couldn't find a vein after 4 tries. My attempt to position myself more comfortably so as to maintain the position for the duration of the procedure was met with resistance. The actual procedure went smoothly and did produce the desired effect. However with the prison like atmosphere and unfriendliness overall I could not force myself to return.\r Attempts to get medical records sent to another provider was completely frustrating. Too bad, the doctor seemed proficient but the overall workings of the place are very cold and they have an attitude as if they are 'all that'. There is a tremendous need to improve patient relations if they expect to attract and keep a good clientel. Apparently they treat so many shady characters they need to pass out a rule book.\r My new provider told me these complaints were typical of several other patients treated who had first been to Pain Treatment Center. Pros: Single level access facility with on site parking Cons: Overall 'personality' of this place is lousy more

Take my advice, if you are in serious chronic pain stay away from this place. 10/5/2007

This facility is basically concerned with performing epidural and facet block injections in order to provide revenue for the doctors. They have a very negative mindset towards treating a chronic pain patient in my opinion. I recommend traveling to Louisville if you are a chronic pain patient seeking serious treatment that will help. There are medical facilities in Louisville that have a much more positive attitude towards their patients and believe in prescribing medications to chronic pain patients that desperately need such medicine to live as much of a normal life as possible. Pros: There aren't any Cons: Negative minded physicians more
