Stone Oak is a wonderful place to buy beautiful custom jewelry at far below what you'd expect to pay. I learned about them from my Mom and have been there many times. Recently I needed to liquidate a box full of silver and I took it to Stone Oak. I got my money right away and it was significantly more than I expected. Happy Happy Joy Joy I just got a check for more money than i normally make in one year from selling part of my gold and silver bullion collection my father started back when he was in the military. I wouldn't have sold it but I am having a surgery and needed the money and the bank wouldn't give it to me. I was told I could buy a set of pearls for my graduation. Some in my family said giving me ( basically ) a blank check was a big mistake. And initially it almost was, but after visiting all the stores in the mall and a couple outside the mall in anticipation of graduation, it occurred to me that this may be another TEST, a post graduation test you might say - to see if I'd learned to make *Wise decisions. So I began to really take this purchase seriously. I learned about Pearls and what to look for in a quality set. I learned so much about them I think I could probably sell them professionally. Well that is not what this is about, this is about finding the best prices, the best pearls, and the type of store that has the class act to bring it all together in one package. I found all that in Stone Oak Jewelers. Mostly I spoke to Dan. He has a wealth of knowledge and he has several gemologists on site. After my experience i would not even entertain the idea of going anywhere else. Window shopping is one thing, but I appreciate the service of Stone Oak over patronizing anywhere else. more

Stone Oak Jewelers is the Greatest. I've both bought and sold jewelery at stone oak jewelers. Situations do change to say nothing of the economy and having already established a relationship to the staff, Dan and Mike, at stone oak, it was real nice to be able to depend on these same folks to buy back items - rather bought there or not - for significantly more than any pawn shop or otherwise gold buyer would ever pay me. On top of that both Mike and Dan are genuinely nice people who are interesting to talk to with a wide range on knowledge. more

I love to visit this store anytime I'm in the area. They always have such unique jewelry. You always can discover new and collectables and Dan the owner is so very generous, often offering great specials for various reasons. I've been in there when he let a diamond go for hundreds less than it should have been just because he hadn't gotten a chance to correct the price tag on it. Every time I go there I'm treated like I'm someone Special, and since work across the street I seem to end up there allot as result of walking off my lunch while window shopping. These guys are very friendly and willing to answer any questions i have. It's because of this level of service i bought a ring for my girlfriend and she loved it. Yep, my friend was right to direct me to see Mike over at Stone Oak Jewelers. I'd already gone to several places and couldn't find the ring I wanted for my Fiance. But Mike helped me by custom designing and then creating the ring. The best part is i had a role in the design process - I made the ring fatter ;) and now every time i see it on my Fiance it means so much more - as if I made it or something... more

I went to Stone Oak Jewelers by referral to sell 10 of my gold (1) ounce bars I bought over 20 years ago. I'd gone to allot of places who low-balled me and even if i accepted they didn't have the money on hand. With Stone oak I got nearly 15,000 dollars and it was easy as pie and I was back home in less than an hour including drive time. 20 years ago I didn't spend but a fraction for the gold, and in these times, 15k feels like 100k. I took my 10 ounce silver bars everywhere. Both to pawn shops and so called coin dealers and no one came even close to the offer I received from Dan at Stone Oak Jewelers. It was so easy I wished I had more to sell. Overall the store is very comfortable and the staff very friendly. San Antonio's Stone Oak Jewelers is the best place to find that unique item for a loved one or to sell your unwanted and or broken precious metals. After my father passed away I inherited his jewelry design hobby. Little did I know he had been collecting old gold rings ( most of them very ugly or broken or smashed somehow ) and I brought a whole big old bag of them in to Stone Oak. DAN took the time to test and itemize each piece totaling over 27,000 dollars. I couldn't believe it and was waiting on the catch. But Dan just asked if I accept the offer or not and I did. My Mom and I visited Stone Oak Jewelers to buy my Pearls as a reward for graduating. The selection was broad and the prices were good enough that we bought from Stone Oak. It really wasn't a hard call, the service is Excellent as well, so when we saw what I had described we both knew right away that this was it so we didn't bother looking around any longer. I'm a vehicle repo man, and in my business there is no retirement plan. When a vehicle is not reclaimed within 30 days we keep the contents found within. So I brought in an odd bag of old gold and silver jewelry and to my surprise I received over 550.00. My advice is not to let your car be repossessed, but if it does happen, within 30 days take your old broken jewelery to Dan at Stone Oak Jewelery and let him test it, you'll get more money than anywhere else, Dan's a Great Guy, and it's so easy to get paid, get your money in no time flat, and then you can get your car back :) more
