Stone Mountain park is an amazing thing to do in the summer especially when people come in from out of town. It is a big "rock" that they do a lazer show on in the summer. Which is fabulous- and they also have things to do during the day like climb the mountain and take the Duck tour. I highly recommend it. Bring a picnic dinner and stay all day! more

Amazing for the family 1/14/2006

Stone Mountain park is the best, they have laser show almost everynight. Especially weekend is the best to see, they include firework that seems like July 4. Many activities to do also beside sit there and watch the show. Recommend to spend a whole day at Stone Mt. Park to enjoy the whole view. more

Day Spend 10/14/2005

It is one of the tourist attraction, and it is a beautiful attraction. Lot of activitites go around the day and evening., so a person can spend a whole day...either u can have a nice picnic with family or friends in the park...as there is fees for the entry in the park or you can spend a little money and can take a trolley whick goes up the mountain, or and watch a 4-D movie and in the evening the best of all is the laser show...So don't miss it.... more

Lots of fun! 9/30/2005

There is so much to do at Stone Mountain. They have special events every month, a skyride to the top of the mountain, the amphibious vehicles that go in the lake, the laser show and camping. You can also be adventurous and hike up the mountain. While the price is kind of steep ($20/person and $8 to park!) there are some ways to save on this, you can go after 3:00 and save $7 or better yet, buy an annual pass. Our family of four cost us $165. We only live an hour away so we go over for an afternoon, do some walking around and then have a picnic before heading home. I definitely advise the annual pass for locals. Its a great way to entertain everyone and it pays for itself after two visits. more

Great Family Activities 9/6/2005

This park is great year round. During the summer, they have the laser show, with the fireworks as the grand finale. This is a great family activity or a great date! You can make a whole day of it- go early and climb the mountain, bring your suit and go swimming, and ride the cable car up the mountain for some great views. They often have events going on- so check the calendar. The laser show was always very entertaining when I was a little girl and I have some fond memories of Stone Mountain Park. more

Great views and good adventure 8/20/2005

Included with a normal admission to this park are the basic essentials to enjoy a full day. for a few extra bucks, one can have a real nature adventure and experience canoes and boats and also special exhibits during the year. There isn't a way to describe the lasershow, it's breathe taking and has to be experienced. The music is light a huge concert, the lights fill the sky like the sun, and the fireworks make one great show against the mountain. All in all, this is definately a family type of attraction in atlanta, especially meant to be experienced during a cool but sunny day. If you can't stand any level of outdoors then don't worry about this place. more

Stone Mountain = good. Lots to do for a mountain park. They have a pet animal area, car museum, fishing, hotels and the famous cable car to the top of the mountain. It's no amusement park but there is enough to keep you busy for .75 of a day. It's nice to take a picnic with the family. more

Nice way to spend the day 8/20/2005

Stone Mountain Park is a now privately held property and the company that owns it has spent a lot of money trying to build it into the states premiere tourist attraction. The park now features the Crossroads area with a bunch of shops and restaurants. They also have the treehouse playground and the great barn. The festivals held on the grounds are worldclass from the Scottish Fest to the Indian Pow Wow and the Yellow Daisy Festival. We have never been disappointed. We also love to spend the evening watching the Laser show. more

Stone Mountain 8/17/2005

Stone Mountain is one of the largest rock formations in the United States. It's a great place to go for a day trip filled with hicking, fishing, picnicing, and spending time together. At night in the summers, they have an amazing laser show on the face of the mountain that is astonishing. An amazing natural phenomenon to check out, you won't regret it. more

lasershow spectacular 8/17/2005

Stone Mountain Park is excellent for a family outing, with a bunch of friends, as a date, or even by yourself. There are a couple of hiking/biking trails throughout the park, you can climb to the top of the mountain or take the cable cars there. There's a nice bit of history about the park and about the figures engraved in the mountain, so it's great for history buffs too. Recently, they've added some theme park sort of place, but I wouldn't waste my money there. And the lasershow is surprisingly entertaining, even with the excessive no so subtle Confederate pride. more

great park inside the city 8/5/2005

For $8 bucks, you get entry into a great, well kept park inside atlanta. Some people might argue that the park isn't within the city, but i think its in a great location. The grass fields are well kept and clean. The mountain is kinda seen it once, seen it all. I don't think the mountain is worth seeing more than once, but there are lakes, laselight shows, music concerts, and lots of other attractions. For $8, i dare u to find a better kept park inside the perimeter more

GREAT PARK 7/23/2005

This is a terrific park to go to with the family. They have lots of activities for all ages. The park admission is only $8 per car. The laser light show is the absolute best. Of course, you must go up to the top of Stone Mountain. Some of the attractions you must pay for, but its well worth it. more
