couldnt be happier 2/28/2012

I have used this kennel for many years. I have used many kennels in the past but have never been more satisfied than i am with this facility. My dog cant wait to walk through the front door and stay there. The owners and staff treat you like family and unlike some past reviewers have never ever smelled any unpleasant odors. My dog comes home clean and happy. If you want to feel relaxed while going away and not worry that your family member is being taken care of the way you would like then make sure you use stone meadow kennels. They make my vacations more enjoyable knowing that my dog is well take care of. more

Long Time Satisfied Customer 11/10/2011

Have used this kennel for many years, and never had a problem. My dog seems to like it there. They make sure he eats and gets out in the playground. Now that he is older, he has medications and they give them at no extra charge. Once my trip got extended and they ran out of pills. They picked up pills from my vet so Dakota would have them. They go the extra mile for the animals. more

Nicest staff & happy experience for my dogs 11/6/2011

I lost power & boarded my dogs at Stone Meadow in an emergency situation. I was so surprised at the cleanliness and professionalism of the staff at this kennel. My 3 dogs returned perfect - happy, full of energy & smelling wonderful. I will use these folks again - in a heartbeat. more

Canine Influenza Outbreak 9/1/2011

Unfortunately I had a bad experience too. I boarded 3 dogs there in early August and 2 of them came down with canine influenza. One was very sick and could have died. When I picked them up I noticed one coughing and the owner was there and said ""oh she must have just started to cough"" and said he had a problem with kennel cough and ""just wait a few days and it will go away"". Well, it didn't go away and she had a fever. My other dog developed symptoms later that week too. The vet bills were $750. I personally called the owner on 8/15 to inform him that he definitely did NOT have JUST Kennely cough but lab tests confirmed he had CANINE INFLUENZA. He told me he would be contacting his clients. There was no apology or hint of concern. I am heartbroken with guilt. I only boarded them for 3 days. They had a good reputation but I think they didn't take the appropriate precautions to contain this. Obviously the reviewer before me (cooper2003) had boarded his dogs there too at the same time. I cannot recommend this place to anyone. more

do not board your dog here 8/23/2011

My dog came home with kennel cough and canine flu and it almost killed him. I brought him there fully vaccinated and in perfect health. The owner acknowledged that there was ""something"" going around and that he was going to close the week of 8/23/2011to do a complete scrub down of the facility due to the potential fatal risk involved but when i called to check they were open and taking boarders. The owner never called to check on my dog, took full payment, and made no apologies for his obvious neglect. If you value the health of your pet, avoid this place. more

Excellent care for my pet! 8/25/2008

My experience with these folks is completely different than the last reviewer. I left my dog Petey at Stone Meadow for three weeks this summer, and he came home happy, healthy, had lost no weight & smelling great. I have used this kennel for over three years, and the care is consistently great. The place is clean & the staff is attentive. Petey gets so excited when we drive up to the kennel- he can't wait to go in. That means a lot to me! more

Disgusting, smelly kennel 7/25/2008

I boarded my dog here once. The first rule of a good kennel is that you shouldn't be overwhelmed by the smell. It reeked and my dog came home reeking. I would never, ever, ever put my animals here again. When I questioned them on the odor they said it was to be expected. I've boarded my dogs before and never have I been in a place as odorous as this. Also, they told me they had a ""flag"" on her kennel since she was aggressive. This leads me to believe that they basically didn't come near her and essentially threw her food in her kennel and didn't get near her again. She was traumatized. I've since boarded her elsewere and she's been fine and the staff has had no problems with her. She is taken out 2x's daily for playtime and there is absolutely no problem. Also no odor and she comes home clean and non-traumatized! more
