We purchased thousands of dollars of granite countertops when we remodeled our kitchen a few years ago. At the time of installation I questioned the installer (who didn't speak english) about several things he was doing because they just didn't make sense. I had the company back out two times to adjust and check the sink installation (also purchased from Stone Age). After changing some things they assured me everything was fine. Well, a few years later the granite started cracking around the sink. Another company has told me the problem was created by how the granite was initially installed. Of course my warranty is no longer good. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. more

I wanted to write review earlier but there were no review sites. I had horrible experience and would always stay away from them. My friend had warned me not to engage them for remodeling but their selection was better than anyone else and I decided to go with them: --Wrong measurements and then wrong estimates - I had to physically measure and gave them pictures for that and then it was corrected. \r \r --Wrong piece of granite - Put the wrong piece of Granite \r \r --Broke the Granite slab and despite acknowledging it no one ever came to check. \r \r --When I put a charge back on CC - They never responded to it but instead after six months gave threatening calls. \r \r I fearing for safety of family gave the money and decided never to go with them again.I am still living with broken granite slab and cursing them every time I see it and at the same time kicking myself about why I did not hear to my friends advise. \r \r No respect for customer. This is one of my worst experience dealing with business in United States. more

Very pleased with this company. We built a small snack bar in our new home theater and wanted a special counter top. With such a small job we somewhat expected to be marginalized by granite companies and we were treated so at several other places. Stone Age treated us first class from the very beginning. They had a huge selection and worked with us to get a special granite bar top at a very reasonable price. It was measured, cut and installed so fast it made my head spin. We will go to them when we are ready to redo the big counter tops in our main kitchen and will not even bother looking anywhere else. more

Just a note to say Thank You! The granite counter top is installed, the stove-top is in place and hooked up, the sinks, faucets, garbage disposal, and plumbing in place, and leak free, and the electrical outlets and face-plates are straight, flush to the wall and working! And the mess is cleaned up too. Needless to say, we are delighted with how everything looks, and how the counter tops came out. Thank you so much for helping us with the project. more

I wanted to get several things re-done in my house - floors, kitchen, and bathroom. I went to several places and nothing stood out at me. it was like the same old thing sold everywhere for a few cents less or more. I wasn't impressed. But then i walked into Stone Age and i was blown away with the showroom and the products they had. Matthew Decker helped me for a few hours with so much patience. After several hours of shopping (since i wanted it all) he helped me narrow it down to the items i needed in my budget. The best experience i had working with anyone. Be very careful when dealing with this company!! They appear very accomodating and polite at first to make the sale, then they stick it to you! They are a shady company, no ethics in their staff and management. We fully paid for our slab, and it was sold to another! We had to select another one! Very difficult to work with, would not return our calls. When we tried to find a good solution together, it was impossible. I recommend trying another source for your granite counters. The headache and heart ache will be too much to bear during your project. more

As a Commercial Interior Designer I deal with many suppliers of Stone and Tile - Generally all are honest adn helpful adn many times I have put a deposit down to hold material - Sometimes we purchase it, sometimes it doesn't work and we cancel the hold adn our deposit is returned. more

The place looks expensive. Went there for ideas, ended up buying there. A million backsplash options to match to my countertop. Pro: No need to buy slabs (only pay for what you use) Con: Can't get samples of special order items. Takes 2 weeks for the sample, then 2 weeks for the tile. more

Lots of variety in granite and tile. We re-modeled our whole house and used them. They were very professional and kept me informed of all impending work. Very friendly staff, plus I like that it's a family owned-company, as I usually like to support those instead of large chains. I have referred many people to them and all of them had good experiences there too. Very good company and they had so much knowledge of what they're selling. We're re-doing our beach property next year, and I plan on calling them for all the work. FYI, Chris was my salesperson and did nothing but a wonderful job. He was very flexable with our deposit and basically held our hand through the entire process. Pros: Lots of Granite and Tile, Re-Modeled Showroom Cons: Large selection more

Cracked tiles. Cracked granite counter tops. I've complained so many times. All they can say is ""sorry, We'll credit you account $150"". Why don't hey come out and fix the cracks or replace the tiles and granite. I'll never recommend these people to anyone. Be careful if you are considering buying from them. These people are liars and con-artists. now that they have my $$ they won't even return my phone calls. I'll see you in court, Mr. Levy, loser! more
