Stokesdale Veterinary Hospital

In the past view months 2 of my dogs needed and emergency surgery due to eating a ball and carpet. Stokesdale Vet has saved my dogs life twice in a row. I highly recommend this Vet clinic. Dr. Ogelsby and staff are very caring people and take care of our animals with the best possible treatment. more

A few days ago we took our 1yr old cat to stokesdale vet to get neutered. They did an excellent job! They also had told me that they had to run so test just to make sure he was healthy, and the test came back and showed that he had 2 different types of worms. Without them running this minor test we would have never known and we would have lost our little zipper because we had no idea. The test my be a little on the costly side but its worth it. over all we spend a little over $300 and now he is doing great. I would recommend this vet to anyone in the stokesdale area, i may even switch my dog from summerfield to stokesdale vet. I have a puppy boxer shes 7 monthes old I brought her to Stokesdale vet to get spade at around 8:15am the other day. I was called by the vet that afternoon and told she did great in the surgery and woke up and is doing good. I was told to pick her up in the late evening. I picked her up around 5 PM. When I got there she looked very sore, I assumed that was how she was suppose to feel. The whole night she layed around crying in her cage. The vet had told me not to feed or give her water until the next morning. Around 10pm she starts getting sick in her cage she did this 3 times it was all foam looking. The next morning I woke up and gave her some food and her medication she got sick again. I called the vet and told them what was happening, I'm put on hold and then the lady comes back to tell me my dog had trouble waking up from surgery so they gave her an injection of something, I was never told exactly what that was, but this would cause her to get sick. When I was called by the vet the afternoon before I was lied to and told my dog was fine, really they had most likely overdosed her and that was why she couldn't wake up. I would not reccomend this vet office. You are lied to and not treated well when you confront them about situations they can't help you. Pros: It is very close to my house Cons: poor service more
