Paul and John are wonderful. Both very knowledgeable. Both will take the time to explain things to you if you don't understand. I will continue to go to them for all my car needs...

Solid and Reliable Service 7/21/2010

I started taking my car to Stock's Underhood Spcialists several years ago when another shop in the area let me down on what should have been a simple issue. Since then, I have been able to count on Stock's to be dead-on accurate with diagnostics, sound advice, and reasonable prices. They are a small shop but have always been able to procure the right parts and keep up with the latest technology. In addition, the information that they provide is invaluable. It's clear that personalized service is a must here. I would recommend Stock's Underhood Specialist's to anyone who owns a car and wants to keep in good running shape. This is the model that all other auto repair shops should emulate. more

Great Shop Right in Belleville 5/5/2010

I've known Paul for years and he is very meticulous about the repair work they perform. Paul has been in the business for over 35 years and he has a great reputation. His shop is well equipped and he really knows how to use all it. If you need brakes, waterpumps, timing belts, electrcial work or drivability problems fixed, he's your man. My husband and I have been using Stocks's Underhood Specialists for our automotive servies for 20 years. The thing that drew us to them at first was their maintenance plan. It was an economical way to maintain our vehicles and not have to worry about being stranded. It is less expensive to prevent a problem than have to fix it when it's broken. We quickly built a relationship with the friendly staff. This relationship is so strong that when we moved out of the Belleville area and thought we would have to find another auomotive shop they stepped up to help. I work in Swansea so eventhough we don't live in the area anymore I still come for work. Therefore Stocks's comes to my place of work and picks up my vehicle for service and brings it back by the end of my work day. We did not ask for this, they offered it to us to keep us as customers. I think that says it all. The mechanics are educated and keep up with new techniques and the staff is warm and friendly. I would recommend them to anyone. more

A good mechanic is hard to find. A trustworthy one is even harder to find! We found both at Stock's Underhood Specialists. Not only are Paul and his team professionals at what they do, they give each and every customer personal attention, and take the time to explain repairs as well as to stress the importance of routine maintenance. In addition, Stock's is AAA recommended, warranties their repairs, and takes a proactive approach to keeping your car alive and running. more

Stock's Underhood Specialists provide outstanding service and fix the problem the first time every time in my experience. Problems that had perplexed other shops were able to be solved at Stock's. Paul is personally interested in performing quality work every time. His routine maintenance program has kept my families multiple vehicles from having a major breakdown on the road for the last ten years. We are very pleased and continue to recommend him to all that we meet. more

It is always assuring to read that diagnostic information on their worksheet, because one can know that honesty is forthcoming. Reporting the symptoms of brewing troubles and their criticality is of foremost importance in their practice. They do good work, diagnose accurately, and offer good mechanical explanations. Prices are competitive, and scheduling adherence is generally good. more

I have been going to Stock's underhood specialist for quite a few years. I was a mechanic when I was working. I worked on mine haul trucks, scrapers, front loaders, Dozers, all the big stuff. I was good at what I did too. Well,my pickup just got too technical for me and I wanted someone who was just as dedicated to proper maintainance and repair as I am. I found it in Paul. I would not hesitate to recommend "Stock's Underhood Specialist Shop" to anyone. They are not what I call "shotgun mechanics". They don't keep trying different things till they finally stumble on whats wrong with your vehicle. There skilled, top of the line, mechanics. more

Very valuable service, worth every nickel. 11/5/2009

A friend initially recommended Stock's Underhood Specialists and we have been using them ever since, for at least 20 years now. Their honesty and dependability have made us loyal customers -- we know that they will do the job right. We are a family with two kids, and Stock's has serviced 5 or 6 of our cars over the years. They do not just treat the symptoms but rather they find the underlying cause and resolve the problem. They also stand by their work. I trust that if something does not go quite right the first time, they are willing to do the work again and correct the issue. They are always available when I call. I have called them from other parts of the country and they have been there for me. Stock's Underhood Specialists may not be the least expensive shop in town, but they are very valuable and worth every nickel. Carolyn Wylie more

outstanding customer service, technical knowledge that exceeds the norm! 11/5/2009

I wanted to share my experience with Stock's Underhood Specialist. Let me start by stating that I am very particular about who works on my '93 Jag, my baby. I have been the proud owner for14 years, and had a wonderful relationship with her. And let me tell you...not just anyone is going to take her out for a spin... let alone look under her bonnet! After talking to Paul at length, I felt the confidence needed to trust him to work on my british carriage. I am thrilled with the suspension and engine work he performed, and she now rides like she did in her younger years! Cheers...Chuck more

An automotive specialist you can trust. 11/4/2009

I have been using Stock's Underhood Specialists for about 10 years and my experience with them has been excellent. I initially started using Stock's because of their reputation and word-of-mouth referrals. They work on 4 different vehicles for me and have done everything from oil changes to replacing the engine in a vehicle. All of the work that they have done has been great. I would encourage people not to hesitate to ask them questions. They will explain anything and everything to you in layman's terms and give you a detailed analysis of what is going on with your vehicle.
