Stir Crazy

I went at 3:30 on Saturday afternoon with no wait. The tuna appetizers was amazing! We had a crab ragoon lunch appetizer and the portion was really small. (It was cheaper than the normal appetizer so I figured it was more like a sample) I had the fillet minion which was so tender and the mushrooms so tasty. My date had the shrimp and pan fried noodles which was really good as well. They have a gimmick where you pick your meat, you pick your seasoning and the veggies which is really cool. I wasn't crazy about going to mix and match because I simply don't trust myself to make something delicious. Later on around 6-7pm there was a line there, but at chilli's and all the other places there had lines as well. Bottom line, its the best Asian food at the mall thats not been sitting out in a food court. more

Take the concept of a mall (everything you want, all in one place), apply it to food (Asian food, to be precise), put it IN a mall (the biggest mall on the east coast), and the result is Stir Crazy, which is famous for its wonderfully tasty stir fries, into which you can put just about anything you want! The stir fries aren't all that's good, though – there are many regular menu items (Japanese, Chinese, and Thai) that are just as delicious. Try the pad thai or the ginger beef, in particular – and don't forget to try a sweet Thai iced tea! more

Stir Crazy seems like a takeoff of P.F. Chang's, but I'll forgive them that since it is a mall restaurant and the food I"ve had there has been decent. It is an Asian fusion restaurant with an interactive twist, allowing you to go "stir crazy" and pick what you want in a stir fry. This concept works really well in a mall restaurant, probably making it more successful in this setting than it would be elsewhere. It's fun, maybe a bit overpriced and with a sometimes long wait, but it's a good time and the food is tasty (try the lettuce wraps). more

Ever wanted something that you couldn't find on a normal menu? Go to Stir Crazy! Stir Crazy's claim to fame is it's wonderful stir frys. Order one (anything from vegetarian to chicken, beef, or fish), and the waitress brings you a wok, and sends you on your way to "the market", a bar full of fresh vegetables, and some fruits. fill the wok to the top, choose your spices and sauces, and head over to the chef, who will whip up your meal in front of your eyes, fire and all. I recommend a chicken lo mein stir fry, with a wok filled with green beans, 10-15 carrot shreds, 3 opened red hot chili peppers, a teaspoon of garlic, and the sechuan sauce. Could burn a whole through your tongue. Yum! Great ambiance. more
