Funeral Dinner at Stimac's 2/16/2011

I attended a funeral dinner for my daughter-in-law's mother a couple of weeks ago. My son and his wife opted for an open bar. There were only 24 people total at the dinner after the funeral. Of the 24, there were several non-drinkers, a pregnant lady and several teenagers, and a couple of other adults. The rest of us had maybe 2 drinks a piece. I took note that most were drinking beer. My son was presented with a $550 bar tab with no accounting of the drinks purchased. The bill for dinner was reasonable but the bar tab was clearly not. Food was fair. The wait staff was not particularly friendly and wouldn't allow my son to take any leftovers even though it couldn't be served to anyone else. There wasn't much left but the jesture would have been nice for them. I wouldn't recommend this establishment for an open bar affair. \r I have been to several functions at Stimac's but this one truly disappointed. more

Excellent service 9/13/2009

We hosted a funeral luncheon here for approximately 50 people. The food was good for banquet fare. The service was excellent. We were pleased with experience, considering the circumstances. more

Okay food for small gatherings 4/27/2009

I've been to Stimac's for a variety of showers, parties and funeral luncheons. They have always had great service, though the food is just okay. Typical banquet stuff, and nothing to write home about. But, again, good service and nice atmosphere. more
