Steve's Used Tires

I desparately needed 2 tires for my Bravada. They are not a common size and, after calling a few places, I found that Steve's had them. However, when I went today to get them, they had been sold. But, the good news is, the owner offered to sell me a set of 4 compatible tires (size-wise) for just a little more than the 2 would have been. They look like new tires. The guys were polite and efficient and even reinstalled my spare (which isn't easy, if you know Bravadas). Pros: Value for $ Cons: Didn't know about them sooner! more

I needed a spare tire replaced due to the age of the existing one I had. I elected to buy a used tire that was a bit newer. After arriving at Steve's used tire, I explained what I needed and was led to the selection for my application. There was not much to choose from due to the age of my car. I did pick out a tire and proceeded to have it mounted and balanced. I got home, rechecked the tire and noticed a hissing noise coming from the replacement. The tire had a slow leak in the sidewall. I returned to the store and had it replaced with a slightly better tire for the same price. I did notice the technician not balancing the tire after the installation of the new one. I brought this to his attention and he then proceeded to do the balance but he didn't do the final spin to ensure the balance was correct I wasn't happy about this and he acted as if he really didn't care. What do you expect for 25 bucks. The service crew were a bit unprofessional and the facility was not the cleanest. If you need a temporary fix for a spare, I would suggest you pay close attention to what your buying. If your buying a tire for daily use, I would gather up the additional cash and purchase new one. Pros: Replacement at no charge. Cons: No sorry for having to return and care free attitude. more
