wide variety, good help 5/18/2002

Steve's seems much smaller than it really is--they've got almost all of the small needs of a household or mini-project well-covered, and the staff are central-casting Bob Vila-types who know their stuff and wouldn't intimidate novices. Prices are a little high and you will have to go farther down the valley for major-project items. Pros: good advice Cons: weak on 'big' items more
